West Park — Attraction in St. Catharines

I have been going to West Park for over 5 years now every spring, summer, and fall to play soccer with my friends. This park is great for individuals who want to play any field sports, as they keep their grass well maintained. Recently they have also included a new creative play structure, outdoor fitness equipment, splash pad, sun shelter and accessible washrooms to the existing 3 fields they have at the park. Along with the track that can be used if membership is purchased.

What would put this park above others is the inclusion of fences along the boundaries of the soccer fields as it would allow for easier retrieval of balls, and prevent any stray balls from injuring anyone using the new amenities...

Clean well maintained Field. Soccer markings seen with goal frames. Very good 400 meter track available. Bleachers for both the track and field. They are in good working order too. The parking lot to the west is small. You can park at the DSBN Academy side to access the park too. Street parking is free and available. A safe hard plastic playground is available. Awesome park! Washrooms available from mid-May to mid-October, Splash Pad, exercise playground for adults, lots of unique equipment at this park. There is a soccer field and lots of green space. There are a couple built in picnic tables under a gazebo for shade. The ground of the playground is that spongy rubber. My daughters had a blast...
