Please search for ''Giants Head Hike Parking' if you are searching a point on Google Maps to visit Giants Head Park in a vehicle (car). At the entrance of the park, you will be confused if you should drive in as the road is very narrow.

This is the most beautiful place to visit in the whole of Summerland. We have been there to witness sunset. And it was majestic. The hike to the top from Parking is about 15 mins. If you are fit, you can complete the hike in 7 mins through shortcuts.

There is a time capsule which will be opened on 01st July 2067. It has been buried on 01st July 1967.

ROAD CLOSED I was told we could drive to the top but the bottom gates were closed the whole week we were there. I don't know if this is a recent change due to covid or if they just decided to turn this into a walking only trail.

It's a very long and steep climb. I cannot climb up a steep hill for an hour and then walk another hour back down again. Unfortunately this was too advanced for me and I missed out on the beautiful view since the road straight to the top is now blocked off.

I wish this was mentioned somewhere before driving the...

This is an amazing hike!! We parked at the park gate and hiked up the "Giant's Head Grind" which is an advanced hike with very steep sections. It's easy to follow the marked trail denoted by the white pegs with Green/Grey/Blue stripes. This hike takes a good two hours to complete. There are also more moderate trails that take you to the summit as well. If you are in shape, I definitely recommend the "Grind". It's worth it!!

The view at the top is well worth the hike up.

The best way down from the top is to follow the...

Love this gastro-microbrewery! Taking its name from the iconic and dead prehistoric volcano that looms over Summerland, Giant’s Head Brewing is also a landmark for the community! Family owned, relaxed atmosphere, feature game nights & live music, street-side patio serving a delicious menu and craft beer. Featuring some of the valley’s best Fish ‘n chips, wings, seafood chowder, burgers-It’s an Okanagan Foodie Heaven! The line ups speak volumes! Always a great time and wonderful service! 🏆🍺🍔🍕🥇
