Lovely park in the middle of the city. Beautiful large evergreen trees. Small unpaved trails. Well maintained. Except for the whole summer and early fall there is water in the creek (at admin on GT Way) for the dogs. Smells fresh because it's jam-packed with trees. Parking on north and west sides too but I always park off Green Timbers Way and start from there, where there are admin buildings and an educational nature area. There is a small lake close to 104 parking area (fishing rods can be rented though never done it so not sure about cost or from where). Lots of open space to run a dog both near the admin (GT) and near the lake (140), and both wide walking paths and "deer" trails meander between 104 and 96 (north and south), and 140 and 148 (west and east) so you can vary your route as often or as little as you like. Easy one hour (or more) walk. Not a lot of people early on in the day but it gets progressively more throughout, and even in winter there is always someone walking around, though fewer. A...

Read moreThe walk around the lake was lovely, although it was quite small. It was more crowded than I had thought it would be, but it was a sunny Saturday. They have different adventure backpacks you can use for free, and if you have a fishing license, you can borrow a fishing pole for free, and the lake is stocked with trout. We did not have time to take advantage of these fun things but enjoyed our walk in nature in the middle of the city. P.S. If you are looking for a totally, away from city noises, quiet, look elsewhere. You can still hear the road noise beyond the trees within the main parts of the park. I'm not sure if that changes if you go further in. Still, we enjoyed the break from the...
