Blenz Coffee — Restaurant in Surrey

I purchased a cafe latte yesterday. I was on the fence if I should post my review or not. Based on my burnt tongue that I still am still experiencing I decided to. I asked for a cafe latte. I was about to purchase and the worker asked casually at the time of payment if I’d like any sugars or syrup. She made it seem as if it was complimentary. I said yes to a syrup and looked at the screen that showed a syrup was added but no price. Complimentary right? The price was almost a $1 more and I asked she said it’s because you added a flavour. At this point the coffee is being made and I guess I did say yes. I paid. I accepted my coffee and went on my way. The cup with a sleeve did not appear to be too hot. It felt warm. I took a sip and my tongue instantly burned. The latte was boiling hot. A latte is not supposed to be that hot. It was over 200° probably 50-60° hotter than it should be. Took about 45 mins to get to a comfortable, latte temperature. My gut feeling was to not go there and to treat myself to a Starbucks. DISAPPOINTED

When I work at this location, I buy my snacks from here.

Today, for the first time ever, in my very desperate state- in lunch break, I went to get a spoon or a fork, and the guy says “only with a purchase”

All the times I have been a customer here flashed in-front of my eyes. Never again.

The food is SO expensive, and so mid, and they are plain greedy.

If you cannot give someone a single spoon/fork, or a glass of water, but you pretend to be all bubbly, smiley, gotta look into your heart, buddy.

Reading one of their replies to a review here saying they donate thousands of dollars to an organization, but were not able to provide a cup of water to a patient, COME ON. No words. Disheartening. Trying to justify every bad review

Going forward, I will not spend a single cent here and will be advising my friends and co-workers to do the same.

Many problems with this place! I bought a muffin today thinking would give them a second chance as they charge way way too much for their stuff! I bought a muffin which was so small it was the size of a mini muffin. Then I asked for butter he charged me .50 cents a when I asked why he told me I was lucky they usually charge 1.00 for two tiny butter!!! I said you charge for butter for a muffin you’re selling? Butter is offered at every establishment for a muffin because they can be dry at times especially a bran muffin!!! So you’re going to charge a dollar for the tiny butters that cost 5 cents??? I can’t believe how much this establishment rips people off!!! Also if you want oat milk in your drink it’s an extra 3.00 for one small drink!! Be expected to pay more then Starbucks for watered down drinks aswell!!! By the way the muffin with the butter was 6.50 the owner or manager whatever he is is absolutely...
