I am writing to express my outrage over a truly disgraceful experience at this water park, where my elderly mother was treated with blatant disrespect and cruelty by your manager. My mother, who is visiting from another country and doesn’t speak English, lost her 22-karat gold earring, valued at nearly $2,000, while walking near the pool. This wasn’t just jewelry — it was a cultural piece gifted by her late mother, worn every day of her life. She was understandably upset and quietly retracing her steps — not disturbing anyone, not in the water, and there were still dozens of guests around. Yet your manager chose to aggressively single her out, yelling in her face, demanding she leave, and threatening to call the police — on a crying elderly woman who simply needed help. When I stepped in and calmly asked for compassion, the manager turned her hostility toward me, asking what city I was from — then asked others what country we were from, what race we were. That is not customer service. That is racial profiling. It was cruel, unnecessary, and shameful to witness. Let’s be very clear: my mother does not speak English because she is not from here. She is a retired federal employee in her country — a woman of dignity and grace. A language barrier is not a sign of ignorance. How your manager responded to it is. And while she wasted 15 minutes barking orders and humiliating my mother, what should have taken three minutes was never even attempted: “Let me walk with you once. If we don’t find it, leave your number and we’ll call.” Let me be very clear: We were not allowed to properly search for the earring. We were pushed out. Your manager kept repeating, “We’ll call you if we find it,” but how exactly are you going to find it if you’re busy yelling at guests to leave and locking the doors behind them? I saw the employees leaving behind us. Let’s be honest — even if someone finds that earring, I have zero faith it will be returned. Based on how petty and vengeful your manager acted, it’s painfully obvious she’d rather keep it out of spite than admit she mishandled the entire situation. And before anyone responds with the usual corporate script — “We are not responsible for lost items” or “Guests must leave at closing time” — let me stop you there. This is not about policy. It’s about humanity. My mother didn’t lose a towel. She lost a $2,000, 22-karat gold earring with emotional value that can’t be replaced. She lost it in your facility and was then publicly humiliated, screamed at, and pushed out like she didn’t matter — all because she doesn’t speak your language. She is going home with a broken heart and a terrible image of this country, all because of your manager’s lack of compassion and basic decency. Your manager's behavior was disgusting, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. She has no business working in a public-facing role. She needs to be held accountable, she needs to learn a serious lesson, and she absolutely needs to be fired.
She owes my mother an apology. She owe us accountability.
Because no one deserves to be treated like this — not for how they speak, how they look, or where...
Read moreIt's a great place to bring kids of all ages. Pool has ladders as well as gradual sloped entry. Shallow area great for younger ones with fun spray features. There are two inflatables anchored in the pool for added fun with the first one geared more for younger ones (but fine too for even 12 yr old). Since the 2nd one is more challenging it will keep the older ones busy. Kids with red wristband ( having not passed swim test) are not able to use the 2nd inflatable. Numerous lifeguards in and around water. Concession booth open serving variety items. Get there early enough and you may be able to enjoy park supplied free lawn chairs and inflatable inner tubes. Many shady spots available on grass area. Waterslide is closed for 2018 season but it didn't spoil the fun. Can regain entry with getting hand stamped. Able to bring in coolers. Changerooms don't have private stalls for changing. We have no problem spending an entire afternoon enjoying a picnic lunch, the waterpark and playground located directly outside of waterpark. Pack a lunch and enjoy some...
Read moreThis place is an absolute joke! Every single time we go here there is an issue. Today was the last straw. My stepson did the swim test like he does every time. However, this time there were kids in his way as he was swimming through so he stopped a couple times because he felt he was going to swim into them. It’s the life guards duty to ensure the space is clear if they are going to test him. Nope, they didn’t and failed him. He has passed every other time. When I said something. They only test once a day! The rules here are ridiculous! Unfortunately my efforts in giving my stepson a fun day was in vain as I couldn’t be in the water with him the whole time because I have a newborn. Never will I ever recommend this place or come back. Wasted my money yet again. Oh and the dirty looks I got from the female lifeguard after I asked her why she failed him was extremely unprofessional. The young gentleman in the shallow end though, very thoughtful and kind. Hope he finds...
