Not worth our detour today. We are here for our third time (as the other 2 times were for supper and our meal and experience was fabulous. But my 1st time for breakfast)
Here is our experience today: Our order were 3 over medium eggs, 3 crispy bacon and 2 crispy sausages. My husband got white toast (100% success on toast)
What we got served: 3 over easy eggs with 3 flimsy bacon and 3 out 4 soft sausages. My husband was too hungry to be bothered but I asked the server if they could redo my order as ordered previously. My redo order was: 2 out of 3 eggs over medium 1 hard, 2 out 3 bacon flimsy and 2 sausages still flimsy. You question to ability of the chef to make your order when you can't fully enjoy half your plate. I needed to eat and I was not going to wait again to get another wrong order.
So I am perplexed... Our server was great (without her I would have left) but the kitchen ... Well that was a barely passing grade.
Our neighbor beside us asked for a medium steak and got served a more rare version due to the over speediness of the kitchen. (So is this a pattern?)
I wanted to try the soup and our amazing waitress offered one free to go. But as I was so disappointed of a chef not knowing how to cook eggs I DID NOT DARE try something that may turn me off of my fav soup. One good save of the day: It stopped raining after my meal ... was mother nature trying to tell me something???
If you have read this whole experience... Then you tell me, was this a one off or...

Hot beef with fries and veggies, gravy on everything is my diner go-to and Queen’s serves a great plate. Mum had baby beef liver and onions with veggies and it was spot on. There’s something on the menu for everyone and I highly recommend Queen’s Cafe for anyone who likes to EAT! Skip those overpriced conglomerate franchises and treat yourself to Queen’s, a real gem on Broadway and a great asset to the town.
(Please keep in mind, they are a cash only establishment)
Back again! :) I had the New York steak, mum had a cheeseburger and fries. Both just as quick and delicious!
Back again!
Worth mentioning, and at the risk of sounding old fashioned, there are REAL attentive WAITRESSES who are more than friendly and full of smiles. (they’re not a bunch of teenagers trying to find themselves) I really...
Read moreWorst experience, we found it small, tiny and overly crowded. Food was below average as compare to the other restaurants around. They charge for coffee and $1 extra for breakfast if you order breakfast at 11:01am. Make sure you have cash with you as this place does not accept any sort of electronic payment mathod. I was particularly embarrassed at the time of bill payment when they told me that no Debit/Credit, cash only and I didn't have any cash on me. Luckily my colleague had some extra cash we were able to pay and honorably leave this place. I E-transfered my payment to my colleague later. Waitress was nice and polite but quality of food sucks even the basic omelette was oily, they put creme on The toasts instead of butter. Coffee was also below average. I don't I am going to this...
