Come check out the Archives of Ontario If you’re a history buff or just curious to learn about how people lived in the early days. The Archives are located on the York university campus and the good news is, it is easily accessible via public transportation ie subway and buses. You can also drive if you don’t mind paying for parking. I spent a few hours at the Archives and quickly realize I need another trip there to check out all the cool things they have. ( Clearly I’m a history buff). The staff are very attentive and knowledge ( as you would expect if you’re going to work at a place that holds so much info). I was taking so many pics to capture history, and I was learning so much about our province that I never knew. I think every student in Ontario should go to the Archives. I went there as a team building trip with my job and couldn’t help but appreciate the professional development time. I love that the province is intentional about telling other stories in addition to the Eurocentric perspective. The pace is spacious and well organized and curated. Very clean washrooms onsite, and if you’re hungry then theirs lots of food places around. If you want to dive into history, then start at The Ontario Archives.

Great for history buffs. There's lots of cool displays too. But while the 150 year anniversary was interesting, I feel the archive glossed over the First Nations a little too much.
