Markland Wood Golf Club — Attraction in Toronto

If there were more stars- id give them all and still add some! I cant say i was a bridezilla, but attention to detail and timing and communication are of utmost importance to me! I just got married at Markland Woods Golf Club yesterday, June 09, 2018, but instead of fully recovering and recharging- i want to write this review! Everything and everyone was absolutely fantastic! Beyond fantastic! Food was incredible ( mushroom soup, ceasar salad, steaks, salmon, chicken, dessert, poutine for late night and passed munchies during cocktail hour)! All of the staff were incredible! Melissa (event manager we worked with)- i knew everything would be perfect and it was! Leo- manager who looked after us the night od as Melissa was not there- no worda can describe how thankful i am. All of the staff were amazing! Special thanks to one of the servers who rocked out on the dancefloor to one of the old school hits! Guests are amazed at quality of service, timing, attention to even the tiniest detail, quality of food, accessibility (plenty of parking, close to highways and we had ppl come from Guelph, Alliston, Toronto core, Burlington, Oakville, etc)... schedule- with flexibility. Bar service- excellent and full and beers on tab and people were getting Ceasars too!. i am frankly speechless and am your number one fan now! If only i played golf- id join :) thank you! My husband and I got married on October 14, 2017 and we had our wedding reception at Markland Wood Golf Club. We loved the venue the minute we walked into it. It has a warm, intimate feel to it and the staff were so professional. The space is so beautiful already, you barely need any decorating. Melissa, the catering manager, was so helpful and professional throughout the entire planning process and was quick to respond to all of my silly questions. On the day of, she made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it set up as per my instructions, so I knew I could relax and enjoy the day without stressing about the details. The serving staff were very friendly and professional. The food was one of the best parts! All of our guests were raving about the food! A lot of times golf courses/clubs can serve sub-par food, but Markland Wood is definitely the exception to this! You MUST try their Toffee Apple Tart! My husband and I were married in April 2018 and had our Wedding Reception at Markland Woods Golf Course in Mississauga, ON. It was an absolutely lovely experience, from the day we met Melissa (Catering Manager) till our actual wedding day. She was extremely helpful. She met with both of us to make sure all our questions were answered. She always reached out to us to ensure our needs were met.
