Summers are supposed to be warm and to be enjoyed at a park or a beach with friends and family. Seems like this is a universal theme because everyone seems to be out at the parks, crowding them and making the weekend at park feel like Coachella, without the music, and drugs.. not to forget, the paid parking that you get after waiting for 30 minutes. This park is everything you'd need: less people, beautiful view of downtown, the lake and free parking. If you're lucky you'd have the ice cream truck in the parking. If you're luckier you'd have cash and you can actually buy it because no cards are accepted. One downside: no public washrooms that I could find in vicinity. So slow down on those beers you're sipping from the Starbucks cups. Or...

Prince of Wales park is a beautiful neighbourhood park for picnics, families, and everyone! Most summer weekends, you’ll find plenty of multicultural families here, as well as singles, couples, dogs... there’s something for everyone.

There is a small parking lot onsite. There is a playground and splash pad for kids, and an abandoned boat ramp that makes playing fetch with water loving dogs easy. There’s also benches and picnic tables, ducks, and a beautiful view of the city.

Even when there are plenty of people here, there are some places where you can climb down to the water, and it seems like there’s...

Going to this park for years now and we love it. Especially since the playground was revitalized... The kids absolutely love it. It's the best because we also have a wading pool in the park just off the side from the playground so thosr hot summer days are not a problem to be out in with all of the shade from the trees by the wading pool. My only desire is to see some washrooms put in because with the wading pool and playground there, I know families, including my own, who can spend full days there but it becomes difficult when we need to use the facilities and there's...

The location is by the lake, and there is street parking. The wading pool is great for kids. Unfortunately, the jungle gym has components broken and the height of some features are too high for young kids, which are clearly the target audience. As example, there are "piano keys" that cannot be reached, a rolling rattle, which would be great for 1-2 year olds is placed at adult height. The following components are broken: the telescope, the viewing windows by the gears and 3 of the musical keys.

What a hidden gem! This peaceful spot by the lake offers breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline, especially at sunset. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic. The water is crystal clear, and there are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a serene escape from the city (not so much of an escape) can experience some calm and be a bit distant from always running fast Toronto."
