Summers are supposed to be warm and to be enjoyed at a park or a beach with friends and family. Seems like this is a universal theme because everyone seems to be out at the parks, crowding them and making the weekend at park feel like Coachella, without the music, and drugs.. not to forget, the paid parking that you get after waiting for 30 minutes. This park is everything you'd need: less people, beautiful view of downtown, the lake and free parking. If you're lucky you'd have the ice cream truck in the parking. If you're luckier you'd have cash and you can actually buy it because no cards are accepted. One downside: no public washrooms that I could find in vicinity. There is a small parking lot onsite. There is a playground and splash pad for kids, and an abandoned boat ramp that makes playing fetch with water loving dogs easy. There’s also benches and picnic tables, ducks, and a beautiful view of the city.

It's the best because we also have a wading pool in the park just off the side from the playground so thosr hot summer days are not a problem to be out in with all of the shade from the trees by the wading pool.
