Smythe Park is one of the cleanest parks in Toronto, no sharps anywhere where children can injure themselves, no litters because the community led by Peter Athenaios clean and picks up garbage every time that he walks his dog and the volunteers keep it really litter free.!! According to history, the ancestors in the 1700s used the rivers and lakes near it for transport and thus ‘Carrying Place’ can be traced here.. Also old willow trees lined the Black Creek that runs through the Park. Lots of geese, loons and other native birds/fowls can be find enjoying the clean pond at the park right behind the community swimming pool, cool eh? Come for a visit or picnic or just walk the trail. Lots of ample parking spaces are also available.

I visited with the family. This was a park I grew up near many years ago and wanted to revisit. Not much has changed. There is a decent outdoor pool, playground, picnic tables and baseball diamond. Some people were bbqing. The park was great and kids enjoyed it. We did we a few fox 🦊 running around but as they are timid they would not come near us. The only downside was that the building for the pool was very run down and looks like it had not been touched in 50 years.

Probably the best pool in Toronto. Kids pool is heated so the water is warm perfect for the kids. Adult side is good too. Very clean and plenty of life guards on duty just in case. Change rooms were lretty clean and washrooms too. Keep up the great work! See you guys next summer!!

Staff was unprofessional and rude...I was told that even though I'm in the kiddie pool with my 5 and 9 year old I need to be right next to them at all time and cannot sit on the ledge..meanwhile another family comes in with even younger kids than mine and the parents are sitting on ledge and no one enforced anything on them .. specifically a life guard named Katie was rude and gave lots of attitude towards me and my family. I was told by another life guard who's name I will not disclose unless the manager or a supervisor replies to his issue, has also told me this isn't Katie's first time picking on a family for this same issue. She goes on to apologizing to me saying she didn't think it was fair how Katie and some more of the life guards behave with people visiting the pool. I would not suggest to visit this pool simply because the attitude and unkindness of these life guards just...

We arrived at the pool and were informed by the two staff members that the children weren't permitted to swim at that time. We then asked the "staff" where is there another place we could go for the children to swim? The response was "not my job" I was told to just go on "the Toronto website" My husband and I were trying to save a little time by asking if they knew "off hand" where we could zoom over to. We settled to play in the park but felt that the rude dismissal and loud music from the pool put a damper on our experience. Very disappointing to see the low level of interest and commitment in a job that requires basic people skills but also to be in charge of all swimmers?! I would not recommend going to this...
