Discovered this hidden gem "Tweed Memorial Park" while en route from Ottawa to Toronto. A delightful stopover spot! Boasts a variety of new rides that'll thrill the kids, impeccably clean restroom facilities, convenient food benches, ample parking, and picturesque lake views. This charming park is conveniently adjacent to the Park Place Motel, and just across the road lies a Subway where you can savor delectable sandwiches, all while having the convenience of an Esso Gas Station nearby. It's a quaint little park by the lake. Good for a pit stop or picnic. The bonus is the Duffer's chip truck - can't go wrong there.

The park has swings, slides, climbing wall, and sand box/ table. The water isn't very clean, so swimming is not recommended.

Right now, with covid, the park is being regularly sprayed with sanitizer.

A really nice small park with nice views, which work very nicely as a stopping point when you're driving around. It has a sobering monument to the memory of the young men lost in the great wars (and the Korean War and the War in Afghanistan), and a nice chip wagon that's always parked there.
