Amphitrite House Interpretive Centre — Attraction in Ucluelet

Opened in 2025, this modern interpretive centre replaces the former cottage and offers an engaging introduction to the history of the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse. Inside, you’ll find informative displays on the lighthouse’s past, along with a marine exhibit showcasing the diverse sea life found in the surrounding waters.

The space is large, bright, and spotless, with a small selection of items for sale. Conveniently located near the Wild Pacific Trail, it also has toilets both inside and nearby. The welcoming volunteers are a real highlight—enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and eager to share stories and facts about the area and its marine environment.

Really exciting building but a great opportunity missed to sell coffee, refreshments etc to help towards fundraising for their charity. How many people would arrive there with their own cup to help themselves to a coffee leaving a donation? So many opportunities to expand and to improve what they have to offer on this beautiful Wild Pacific Trail...

Friendly and knowledgeable staff passionate about the area. Great, free, mini exhibits and some very interesting displays (an orca and sea lion skull - very neat!!) I was told that the centre is now open year round (perfect for fellow off-season travelers). Also served as an excellent break from the wind and rain for us, and was free!...
