A Love Letter to the Amalfi Coast: Wine, Wonder, and the Most Magical Days of Our Lives
If I could give this experience a thousand stars, I would — and even that wouldn’t come close to doing it justice. Visiting the Amalfi Coast and taking part in this tour was, without a doubt, one of the most magical, unforgettable, and soul-filling adventures of my entire life.
From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a dream — a cinematic, sun-soaked, wine-swirled, lemon-scented dream. This wasn’t just a wine tour. It was a full-hearted journey into the soul of Southern Italy: its flavors, its history, its breathtaking beauty, and most of all, its people. Every part of this experience was crafted with so much care, warmth, and authenticity that it felt like being invited into something truly special — not just a tour, but a love story written by nature, history, and culture.
We began with a wine tasting that took our breath away — not just because of the exceptional wines (which were each more incredible than the last), but because of the view. Picture this: endless rows of sunlit vines, the sparkling sea in the distance, and the soft scent of lemon trees and salt air. It was more than beautiful — it was peaceful, profound, and grounding. Each sip of wine told a story, and the food pairings — fresh cheese, olive oil, bread, local produce — were pure heaven. We learned, laughed, and tasted our way through an afternoon we never wanted to end. The guides were phenomenal: passionate, funny, deeply knowledgeable, and most importantly, welcoming. You don’t just feel like a tourist here — you feel like family.
And the magic didn’t stop there.
We also had the privilege of exploring Pompeii — an awe-inspiring walk through ancient time — followed by a wine tasting lunch that felt like a reward straight from the gods. Delicious, comforting, and full of heart. A perfect blend of education and indulgence.
Then came one of the most joyful surprises of all: a limoncello-making class! It was hands-on, fun, and flavorful — and we walked away not just with a bottle of our own creation, but with unforgettable memories (and a newfound obsession with Amalfi lemons 🍋).
And as if all this wasn’t already paradise, we’re heading off on a boat tour along the Amalfi Coast — and just the anticipation alone makes us feel like children on Christmas morning. We can already picture the turquoise waters, the hidden coves, the colorful villages climbing the cliffs… it’s going to be yet another day of bliss.
Throughout our time here, we’ve explored the stunning towns that give this coast its magic: Positano’s pastel perfection, Ravello’s quiet elegance, Amalfi’s timeless charm. Every turn is a postcard, every sunset a memory burned into your heart.
This wasn’t just a vacation. It was a soul-deep experience. A feast for every sense. A celebration of everything beautiful in life. And it would not have been the same without this extraordinary tour — which was, without a doubt, the beating heart of it all.
To anyone considering this: don’t hesitate. Don’t wait. Book it, savor it, and let it change you — because it will. These aren’t just tours. They are moments that will live in your heart forever.
And to the team behind this experience: thank you, truly, deeply, endlessly. You created more than a tour. You gave us something to cherish for the rest of our lives.
Grazie mille — from the bottom of our very full and very grateful...
Read moreMy wife and I had been touring vineyards throughout Italy for several weeks. Spending our last few days on the Amalfi coast we wanted to visit a vineyard and learn about varietals unique to the area. We booked a tour with WineTour AmalfiCoast. Compared to other wine tours we had experienced in Tuscany and Umbria it was a great value but far exceeded our expectations for quality of wines, food, knowledge of our guide, and just plain fun. Danielle, our driver, sommelier, and new friend made the day something truly special. My wife is prone to motion sickness and the Amalfi coast road is one of the windiest in Italy. He drove smoothly the whole drive and stopped at some of the most beautiful outlooks between Positano and Ravello. He even surprised us for our 40th wedding anniversary with chilled local prosecco at one of the stops. After an hour stop in Ravello we proceeded up into the Tramonti valley to Osteria Reale in Gete, a fourth generation owned vineyard, winery, and restaurant. Two brothers, Gitano and Luigi, own and operate the business and do everything from caring for and harvesting the grapes, to making the wine, and finally cooking and serving wonderful meals. Danielle gave us a tour of their vineyard, explaining the uniqueness of the Tintorre (I had never seen a 100-year-old vine) and other local grapes. It followed with a tasting of their four wines, a white, rose, and two reds paired with homemade bread, olive oil and quiche and a sampling of local cheeses, salami, and fruits. Throughout Danielle explained the uniqueness of each wine, teaching us tricks on how to better appreciate the aromas of the wine. They were the best wines we had had in all of Italy. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better Gitano served us lunch Luigi had also prepared of ravioli, eggplant parmesan, and three homemade desserts accompanied by the four wines. It was out of this world. After we finished, Danielle concluded the tour in the winery and its special history. If you love food and wine and want to experience something truly unique we recommend WineTour AmalfiCoast and its amazing owner/driver/sommelier and new life long friend. It is something very special and we will...
Read moreWow! What an incredible experience Daniele provided for us during our trip to the Amalfi coast. When your guide knows literally everyone on the Amalfi coast and they all stop to say hello to him you know you are in good hands!! This incredible man does it all. He provided transportation for our whole family including some small side trips we had as well. 5 star service from start to finish. We arraigned a winery tour as well as an Amalfi coast tour that couldn’t have been better. The unbelievable sites of this magical part of Italy speak for themselves but Daniele provided us with the best and most useful information about each stop. It was just a pleasure listening to him speak so fondly of his beautiful home. The winery we visited “Cantina Tagliafierro” was magical and the wine was divine. The amazing Tagliaffierro family that owns/operates the vineyard and makes the wine was all there during the tasting from the babies to the grandfathers. The food is all homemade and delicious just an amazing experience. Daniele runs the tasting from his Michelin restaurant sommelier past, which he’s very modest about, however his passion for wine is evident and it’s quite an enjoyable experience. We saw everything, it was an all day experience but worth every minute we covered the entire Amalfi coast with stops in Amalfi,Ravello, and the winery. Daniele’s other drivers are equally kind and friendly a Jean-Pierre from Agerola was fun to speak with. We can’t wait to go back and when we do my first call will be to Daniele....
