Its now reopened for the summer season , it's got a push button to operate the water at this park similar to hot tub and the push button is on the west/south side of the water park "its a new add on" the water push button,I added a picture in the post so you'll all know what to look for at the park when the water truns off and you want it back on . Its a nice retro kids playground that even i enjoyed as a child and its free this waterpark . Its got Washrooms/change rooms . Its got a little beach next to it too . Its got a concession stand nearby . And its got plenty of green grass for picnics . Its very clean area here . Historical information to add This area here originally had a west coast native Squamish village pre Stanley Park days one of many back then here and this area in the retro days of the city this area was a ocean pool . There is parking around and public bus transportation nearby at the Stanley Park bus loop were the kids train is , there is washrooms and food concession...

I just wanna let people know that this water park is closed until further notice. I went with my kids' school field trip yesterday (June 24/2022) and all the kids were super excited to play in this water park. It was a very warm day, and when the kids were getting ready to play, it hit us with the disappointing news that the water park was closed. Many other schools planned field trips to this place and got disappointed as well. We managed still to move our school to spend time by the beach area. Kids still had lots of fun. I just felt that some headups on the website would have been...

Posting here as I was initially confused as to whether the water park was open or not — I checked in with CoV staff via the chat section of the website and they said that the park does close occasionally when for whatever reason they can’t guarantee no runoff from the park into the ocean, but for the most part they just send staff in each day to mitigate this and keep the park open if/when it happens because they know how much families love this place. In short: the splash park is open, and I can confirm it, since we had a lovely time there today!...

Don’t go here right now, we went this past weekend (June 25 and 26) and it’s closed. Google still says it is open but you could feel the disappointment in the air hanging like a cloud as on the hottest weekend of the summer so far, families had flocked to the splash park in hopes of some respite from the heat. Really pathetic and lame on Vancouver’s part, which is expected but still, I mean come on now.

Added bonus, right beside the splash park is this amazing little beach. Can’t beat a hot day at the beach with the family, strolling over to the splash park, maybe getting some concession snacks! This is deep enough into the park that it’s always less crowded than other parts of the park.
