I am giving this Cafe 5 stars because of how above and beyond the staff went for me! I have Celiac Disease and noted that the board had one Gluten Free option, Crispy Tofu Sushi Bowl. I asked if they would be able to accommodate me, which means no shared oil, clean counters, etc. It went through not 1, 2, but 3 staff members discussing whether this would be possible. The conclusion was yes, but can we have extra time? Well of COURSE, I was just excited to eat. I was still a little hesitant since it wasn’t on any of the apps I use for Gluten Free food, but took the chance and am so glad I did. I wasn’t glutened, and was able to explore the aquarium for another 3 hours with the renewed energy! My only request would be to mark a few more items as GF- when I inquired about the oil I was told only the fries go in it, and they’re also gluten free. That would be a good option for young kids who are gluten free and still want to eat at the cafe, or people who are more nervous to try something as ambitious as a Tuna Bowl. Thanks again! :)

Surprisingly really well done fish and chips here, or in my case, fish and salad with a side of fries. It's better than some actual fish and chips shops. Encased in batter the form of a giant pill, is a decent size slab of cod which is moist, and flavourful. The batter light and crisp, and surprisingly well done. I rank the fish and chips here better than both Pajo's and Dave's Fish and Chips in Steveston, maybe even on par with Sockeye City Grill. Definitely miles better than Celine's Fish and Chips on Granville Island, but maybe not quite as satisfying as Moby Dickns in Whiterock. Kid friendly, lots of highchairs and boosters, members get 20% off. Also nice patio/courtyard seating but can get really hot outdoors in the summer.

Very neat aquarium with so much to see and do. We visited July 9th and holy crap was it overrun with people. It was still very entertaining but I needed some quiet down time afterwards. Kids screaming, strollers everywhere, people blocking entire stands so they can film it, oblivious to others. Kids bumping and pushing in front of everything - I do understand that, they were excited so I don't blame them. Just be ready for sensory overload! The Amazon walk through was absolutely fascinating. The outdoor aquariums for larger mammals was really cool. The otters are so cheeky and cute. We didn't eat so no idea about the food.

I ordered the miso salmon bowl. Somehow I got excited about this thing and when it came, it was tiniest piece of salmon, close to the size of 2 of my fingers, with a small portion of greens, a ton of plain rice with a few sliced tomatoes, a few slices of cucumbers and some edamame. That’s it. It was smaller than my son’s kids meal. I wasn’t expecting a Michelin star plate, but I expected a little more than the plainest crappy excuse for an Asian meal that made your regular Poke bowl look like the most exquisite dining experience. Not kidding. After paying $100+ for parking and tickets into the place, and the other offerings you’d think they’d have a slightly better handle on the menu lol. Hopefully the chef there reads this and takes the consideration seriously. Even if they had some more dressings or even more salad and less rice, and perhaps a sesame or something sprinkled. Truthfully what made this order such a pile of garbage was the fact that it was the what I’d expect from my high school cafeteria, the lowest bar imaginable, and a dish my son would make my wife and I that we would praise of course, but not when it’s a regularly served dish that people pay $27 for. I’m definitely coming back to the aquarium but beyond Fries, for my wife and son, I’ll personally be passing on paying...

I don't even know where to start....

I was a bit shocked at the prices 19.50 for a cheese burger and soggy fries. I shrugged it off because of where we were and it was better than the 30$ burger at the next closest restaurant.

When we recieved our food, I was shocked to see a pre-frozen patty and mayo SOAKED on the top and bottom buns. We also, shrugged this off because my 1 year old son was hungry. We all needed to eat before touring the aquarium.

My burger was a weird texture and the temp was... undersatisfying ( ever have a lunchables microwave mini burger?! )

By the time we were all leaving, maybe an hour or so later- we all felt dizzy and like puking. I vomited on the transit terminal!!!! My partner vomited when we got back to our hotel and my son was sick for the rest of the night.

Conclusion: if you're going to HORRENDOUSLY over price your food, at the very least make it edible and not...
