Don't get me wrong, the Malkin Bowl is a gorgeous outdoor concert venue and is visually stunning, especially as the sun sets while you're watching your favorite musicians. However, I'm giving the company behind the venue a 3 star review, because management needs to step their game up on behalf of ticket holders to provide a more efficient way for people to buy booze. Some people could end up paying upwards of $150 for a ticket for this venue. Shows typically start at 6PM and end at 10PM, and time passes by so quickly. Patrons shouldn't need to wait 30+ minutes in the booze line up, to pay for overpriced drinks ($9 for 5 or 6 ounces of beer or wine), while they're missing out on the music. The kicker is that each person is only allowed to buy 2 drinks at a time, but they allow you to buy as many drink tickets as you want. But because of the nature of their space and the amount of time for the show, along with how they've set up the drink line up, it's practically impossible to get more than 4 drinks without missing out on the entire concert. I found that the staff was relatively rude here. I don't blame them too much, as the processes in place, along with strict rules on what people can or can't do during the event, make for a difficult work...
Read moreThis place is a health hazard and desperately needs an upgrade! I was there on Aug 31, 2025, for the Nora En Pure concert, and it was horrible! The grass has completely vanished, leaving only dirt, which creates a significant amount of dust in the air during musical events and dances. We returned home covered in dirt and experienced difficulty breathing because our lungs, noses, and eyes were filled with it.
Additionally, the sound system is outdated and produces poor sound quality. The surrounding fences covered with black and green tarps look cheap and uninviting. It’s truly a missed opportunity for such a stunning park to have a venue that doesn’t reflect its beauty. Imagine the possibilities with a...
Read moreGary Clark Jr. First time I’ve ever been to this little gem in our gorgeous Stanley Park. Yes the drinks were expensive, yes there was tons of marijuana smoke and yes the bugs were out. However it is quite a small and intimate spot, and Gary was amazing to watch.
The layout however had me confused. The stage is located at the bottom of a sloping grade, yes amphitheater I get it. All the port-a-potties are on the opposite side at the top, leaving spectators in the middle. Gravity has control at this point, there was a very fragrant odour plus soft ground happening. Only draw back Anyhow don’t sits on the grass and or...
