Vellore Village Skate Park & Ice Rink — Attraction in Vaughan

The skatepark is great overall, but the design of the skate park is quite sketchy because there is lots of unused grass behind the quarter pipe which could have been use as an elevated flat area or a bowl. The lighting isn't too good either, simply because there aren't enough lights to illuminate the whole skatepark properly. The lack of lighting makes it quite dangerous to use the park at times, especially when it gets dark early. Another thing to note is that the skatepark does not contain any sort of drainage grates in effective areas so when it rains, the park becomes covered with water. Once the water dries up, it leaves dry dirt all over the skatepark because the dirt is pushed from the grass hill onto the skatepark. In heavy rain, it becomes really dirty and slippery. The skatepark looks nice at first, but the mini ramp is in bad condition and you get no speed because there are many bumps and cracks in the concrete. The euro, the stair set and the hip are the best parts of the park. The box jump sends you flying, which is fun, but it is hard to do tricks on. The rails are good except for the curved rail because it very weird to hit. The ramps are sooo smooth, but the flat areas are ruff like sidewalk. I really don't like that because if I bail on a trick, I can slide down the ramp with my pads but then as soon as I reach the bottom, I come to a halt.
