Lost Lake in Whistler, Canada, is a stunning destination with a lot to offer. The lake is surrounded by lush forests and picturesque mountains, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking, making it a perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy at Lost Lake. The well-maintained trails are ideal for hiking and biking, allowing you to explore the scenic landscape at your own pace. While we didn't swim due to a swimmer's itch warning, the lake's clear waters and tranquil setting still provided a beautiful backdrop for relaxation and picnics by the shore.
One minor downside is the limited parking available nearby. However, this is easily offset by the convenient and free shuttle service that frequently transports visitors to and from the lake. The shuttle is a great alternative, ensuring that you can access Lost Lake without the hassle of finding a parking spot.
Overall, Lost Lake is a must-visit destination in Whistler. Its natural beauty, combined with the variety of outdoor activities and the convenience of the shuttle service, makes it a fantastic spot for a day trip or a leisurely...
Read morePretty disappointing experience here. We hoped to do some snowshoeing after being recommended to go here with our puppy by several people in town. After buying our tickets (which inherently felt wrong to pay to walk in nature), we were told we couldn't go with our puppy. We tried to get more information on a why, but weren't offered an explanation by the volunteers "guarding" the entrance to the trail or the gentleman who sold us our tickets (with our puppy in full view 6 feet from his ticket window).
The most infuriating part of the situation was that we saw a dog exiting the trail off leash while we were trying to ask for an explanation.
I'm not sure if this was a situation of breed discrimination, or simple ignorance (which are one in the same), but it absolutely puts off the idea of Whistler for me in the future. I guess I'll spend my tourist dollars in a city...
Read moreBeautiful lake with a lot of picnic tables and a nice loop to walk around. The time that we went, we saw a bunch of tadpoles by the water’s edge and can just imagine all the wildlife that this lake supports. The parking lot is not very big but the lake is walkable from Whistler Village. There are lots of plant life to check out as you walk around the lake. Canine Cove is a place where you can let your dogs out onto the waters for a swim. The beach is nice and sandy and has a few logs to sit at. You can park and lock your bike at many of the bike stations available as well as a single person changing room for changing your swimming attire in the summer. There is also a concession stand open during the...
