A wonderful little beach town a short drive from the city of Winnipeg. Some fine places to grab a burger, fries, ice cream or chill on a patio deck for a drink. Not all the stores were open (even on a Saturday) and some of the attractions are getting a bit run down (games room), but overall it's still charming. The beach is fine, a bit rocky when entering the water, but it's very swimmable and the sand is nice. Unfortunately, when we were there, the washroom/change room at the beach was closed for repairs and it was a bit of a trek to the nearest washroom in town

Winnipeg Beach is a charming and picturesque destination. Having visited this beautiful beach town, I must say that it offers a delightful retreat for nature enthusiasts and relaxation seekers. The town itself exudes a quaint and nostalgic ambiance. The historic buildings and cottages add to the charm, and there are several shops, cafes, and restaurants that cater to visitors' needs. It's a pleasure to explore the streets, with friendly locals always ready to offer a warm welcome and share stories about the area's history.

This is a beautiful campground that's only a few minute walk to the water or the amenities of downtown Winnipeg Beach. The sites are a fair size, most (if not all) are full service, and they are easy to access with either a trailer or motorhome with either pull-through or well-designed back-in sites. You also have your choice of open or private sites too. There's a regular beach and a dog beach, which makes this a dog owners paradise. The staff are friendly and do a great job of maintaining the campground.

Lots of standing water which equates to a very healthy Mosquitoe population. Definitely bring a dining tent and insect repellent. Despite the Mosquitoes which will be everywhere this year Winnipeg Beach is still a great place to camp. Unfortunately, if you don't have a reservation I doubt you will be able to book a spot until Sept. We were there on Thursday June 24. Big storm hit that night. Here are pics of main drag Friday morning.

Nicely renovated board walk. Clean looking beach, and park. WAAY to many fish flies, and other bugs, that are either annoying, and/bite you when trying to have a very nice picnic. Very friendly life-gaurd type of staff. Why not life guards anymore?? Fishy smell, a bit from the one side if the shoreline. Why were all the men's urinals covered up? Something wrong with the taps. No pappertowls where hand dryer is.
