I really liked the beach, it is clean and sand is very nice. I really appreciate that the beach is supervised and there are lifeguards there patrolling the coast line. The also have a dog beach where you can have fun with your pet and that is awesome because very few beaches have this option. Now about the downsides. The beach is really spread out geographically and there are only 2 washrooms/changerooms there. And they get locked at 5-6 pm which is crazy because many people would come in the evening to enjoy already warmed up water. And after the finish there is no place for them to change. 24 hour washroom is available but it is a movable washroom with a capacity of 1 person of each gender. For such a huge beach that is located so close to Winnipeg having just one washroom after 6pm is insane. Especially right now, since many places (like shops or cafes) no longer have public washrooms due...

We went the day before Canada day, we ate at Pizza Place, always a good food experience. The event wrapped up early so we missed it. We got there in the afternoon. The place was overly crowded. Parking was crazy, people parked at no parking area and areas where there's a time limit. I don't think parking restrictions were being implemented. The water was cold but there were people in the water. The beach was busy along the boardwalk. There were live bands for entertainment for the Canada Day celebration. It was not bad but there were no events happening in the afternoon. The business in the area could use a re-vamped. The ice shop was busy, because it's the only one in the area. The portion is very small in comparison to the price. Salty's have an ice cream shop but it's not close to the beach. New business or investment would make the place more...

Great place to bring your travel trailer. Paved roads and it appears that most of the sites are pretty level. We've never had to level out the trailer when we've visited. The front desk staff are friendly. Haven't had a chance to use the bathrooms but heard they were also quite clean. The sites are spacious but depending on where your site is, could use a little more privacy. The trees and bushes in between need some more time to grow.

There's a playground nearby for the kids and the beach is just a couple minutes away. The town close by is a little outdated but there is a grocery store in case you forgot to pack something. Plus, Gimli is just a...

A wonderful little beach town a short drive from the city of Winnipeg. Some fine places to grab a burger, fries, ice cream or chill on a patio deck for a drink. Not all the stores were open (even on a Saturday) and some of the attractions are getting a bit run down (games room), but overall it's still charming. The beach is fine, a bit rocky when entering the water, but it's very swimmable and the sand is nice. Unfortunately, when we were there, the washroom/change room at the beach was closed for repairs and it was a bit of a trek to the nearest washroom in town

Winnipeg Beach is a charming and picturesque destination. Having visited this beautiful beach town, I must say that it offers a delightful retreat for nature enthusiasts and relaxation seekers. The town itself exudes a quaint and nostalgic ambiance. The historic buildings and cottages add to the charm, and there are several shops, cafes, and restaurants that cater to visitors' needs. It's a pleasure to explore the streets, with friendly locals always ready to offer a warm welcome and share stories about the area's history.

This is a beautiful campground that's only a few minute walk to the water or the amenities of downtown Winnipeg Beach. The sites are a fair size, most (if not all) are full service, and they are easy to access with either a trailer or motorhome with either pull-through or well-designed back-in sites. You also have your choice of open or private sites too. There's a regular beach and a dog beach, which makes this a dog owners paradise. The staff are friendly and do a great job of maintaining the campground.
