The beach they don't maintain, it goes from 2 ft to 6ft in 4 steps. Dangerous for your kids. The riptide will take you out. The beggars are constant.

They don't have any beach shower area because the nation is so poor the local citizens will use & abuse the facility. The mayor is out of his mind calling it a beach town.

Resturants are horrible with flies every where. 1 out of 8 restaurants is worth eating at in the city.

The shop keepers poison thier dogs, such people are worthless humans. Learn to neuter the dogs & not poison them. That alone disgusts me & sad for living creatures.

These reviews I have read are & will disappoint you. Perhaps visitors come from poor parts of Portugal but if your lady can't accept flies all over her food then this ain't the place for you but the people are arm & beautiful if they aren't to beggars or drunks. 1 out of every 4 is drunk & destroying thier lines on local sugar cane rum. The Nation needs an Alcohol Annonymous program. This is tough love to help you make an informed decision & helps you manage...

It was a very lovely beach. However now there is a desalination plant at its Northern end. It makes lots of noise and smells of fuel. Only a madman could have placed something like that next to a city beach. This has heavily degraded the attractiveness of the entire city as a holiday or expat...

Nice beach not too far away from the city center. Clean waters however entry to the water may be quite deep so better take care when getting in and out. Two cafe on the both ends of the beach. A sunbed could be taken in western part...

01.01.23 me is so proud of 10.24.23 me. This year has been filled with career changes, new opportunities, romance, disappointment, healing, uncertainty, bravery, clarity, growth, and most importantly JOY! Through it all I’ve traveled for brief periods of time to Africa and the diaspora. Again and again, travel has brought me back to myself and shown me where my heart resides. So, I’m changing my life…again. FYI becoming courageous is a journey marked by gradual growth not instantaneous success. What do you mean Abena? For me, taking risks and betting on myself is like exercise. As I work this muscle the stronger it gets. I’ve grown so much over the last 10 months. I’m crying happy tears just thinking about it. Back in January when I submitted my resignation I wasn’t brave enough to follow my heart fully but today I can say with confidence that I’m going to spend the winter in Africa. I’m purchasing a one way ticket to the cheapest destination in December and figuring it out from there. It’s always been my dream to explore Africa more long term, winter in the tropics, and become bi-continental. And on a beach in Gambia I said to myself “why not now?” Ps. This is Praia De Laginha in Sao Vincente, Cape Verde. I went here back in May, but I’ll share more about this trip soon. Black Owned Brands: 👙Shaniika.co (tagged)

Average it’s not the best its strong point are the restaurant nearby, it’s week point are the sand it’s horrible filed with stones and is not natural. If you go there it’s mostly to tan and play beach sports.
