CNAD is really worth visiting when in Mindelo. There is an interesting permanent arts, crafts and music exhibition. However we really enjoyed the exhibition about recycling and use of plastic and the Amilcar Cabral expo on the 1st floor. If you are not from Cabo Verde, make sure that one of the museum employees explains you the exposition. It's intens, simple but very strong and poweful. Not to be missed!

Mindelo's Centro Nacional de Artesanato is magnificent and fascinating. The building itself is colorful and creative, and the small museum inside and large one across the courtyard are both fascinating. Also, upstairs there is a small library that includes books about art and music, and apparently further upstairs some closed spaces are set aside for temporary use by arists and musicians themselves!

A must for visitors to get to know the capverdian culture and history! Friendly staff who gave us a lot of extra information. Two buildings with an art exhibition, small library and Coworking space as well as exhibition and explanation of Sao Vicente’s history. Super nice and good Café as well as gift shop next to it.
