I’ve been many times to U sabor, had some good experiences, and some so so - but after tonight I will never go there again. First of all, we came there and the tables were full. We went to sit in the lounge, and a waiter told us to wait there for a table. We waited for 30 minutes to order just DRINKS. And then we waited for another 30 minutes and checked it there was a table free, but it was still full. We then decided to just eat apetizers and pizzas as you are allowed to eat in the lounge. Me and my friend ordered a portion of nachos each, and our partners ordered 2 pizzas Reginella.
The nachos didnt come with guacamole - which it is advertised with, we then complained and they told us they would bring it. We waited, but it never came. And then the pizzas for our partners came after me and my friend had finished our nachos. My partner’s pizza had half of it left (4 slices) so we asked if we could bring it for take away. We came home to eat the rest later in the night, and we see that it’s missing 1 slice of the pizza, AND most of the presunto that was on the pizza we brought home was GONE. So my bet is some workers actually had a slice of our pizza and also managed to eat the presunto of the other 3 slices!!!!! Absolutely disgusting.
If their excuse is that there was many people, they should put in more workers. But there is NO excuse to give me back 3 slices when there was 4, and also not to eat the toppings from the...
Read moreOne of the only 2 restaurants in Sao Vincente out of 7 worth eating at but thier concept of the Margerita Pizza is way off & is a normal pie. The sauce is sweet & inedible except for pizza. The Tuna & Meat skewers are delicious. The ladies loved the fish but thier African natives with native tastebuds, if you are an American stick to the skewers & pizza. Disappointing to pay for food that is garbage all over San Vincent Cape Verde. Great view but for only 4 tables but it has a very cool open air smokers lounge. The bill with taxes is very confusing & not sure if the tip is included. According to the waiting staff tip is not included and the food tax is 15%. Which is insanely high & not have a dog neutring alternative instead of the local business poisoning the dogs. The population of dogs has dramaatically decreased. I will never return to Cape Verde to spend 3 weeks of lunches & dinners for 6 to 8 adults. Note: U Sabor also charge $150 CVD for the pizza box if it is to go. Avoid Cape Verde until the government learns how to be humane to...
Read moreI would not even have considered to write a review if it was not for that lady talking louder then me with an attitude!
Delusional. Four years ago I ate quite well there but this time the whole experience was absurd. The waitress was totally unwelcoming, stubborn, arrogant and presumptuous. Definitely the most awkward experience ever in a restaurant. The place was completely empty, the table was very small but she categorically refused to add the table next to ours. She pretended we had to move to another table if we wanted more space. Even when she brought the ice bucket with the wine and there was no place on the table! Allegedly it was an indisputable house rule. We only ate the main course because I wanted to leave. I spent 64 Euros. The half of her salary for one course each. The roasted shrimps were soft as if they had been just defrosted. The rice was overcooked the grains had become 1cm long x 2 mm, the fried potatoes were obviously from...
