The Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga, more commonly known as Málaga Cathedral, is an awe-inspiring masterpiece that stands as a testament to the city's rich history and architectural heritage. My recent visit to this magnificent cathedral left me in utter admiration of its grandeur and spiritual significance. Upon approaching the cathedral, I was immediately struck by its imposing Renaissance and Baroque façade. The intricate stonework, delicate carvings, and towering twin bell towers create a sense of majesty that is simply breathtaking. The cathedral's exterior is a harmonious blend of architectural styles, reflecting the various periods of its construction, which began in the 16th century and continued for over two centuries. Stepping inside, I was greeted by a vast interior adorned with stunning works of art and religious artifacts. The light filtering through the stained-glass windows cast vibrant hues on the marble columns, adding to the cathedral's ethereal ambiance. The central nave's soaring vaulted ceiling was an engineering marvel of its time, and it exudes a sense of celestial splendor. One of the most striking features of Málaga Cathedral is its impressive choir stalls, intricately carved with biblical scenes and figures. These stalls are true masterpieces of craftsmanship, and they provide a glimpse into the artistic achievements of the past. Málaga Cathedral's rooftop tour offered a breathtaking panorama of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. The opportunity to get up close to the cathedral's unique architectural elements, including the ornate spire and weather vane, made the experience all the more The cathedral's grandeur, artistic treasures, and rich heritage make it a truly remarkable destination that leaves a lasting impression on all who visit.

Breathtaking, Awe Inspiring, Gorgeous! Whether you are Catholic, Christian, or simply a history buff, this is a must-visit church in Màlaga, Spain. Outside, you can't help but feel humble yet amazed by the architecture which dominates high above the trees. We went in the Spring and noticed the beautiful orange trees casually showing fruit just outside the church. There are lovely places to sit and rest outside the church as you listen to the small fountains and watch the pigeons gratefully appreciating the supply of water. Inside...stunning.. well worth the price to enter. If you are a Christian, Catholic or otherwise, you can appreciate the painstakingly gorgeous detail which has been bestowed upon the architecture, the sculptures, and the paintings. Even if you don't speak or read the languages of the placards, you can still understand and appreciate the depictions of Jesus's messages and sacrifices. Additionally, you notice the depictions of the people along the way following the Crucifixion of Jesus and the struggles they faced as they fought and died to spread the message to a world filled with greed, hate, and unacceptance of the Devine Creator and His sacrifice. Even if you are an Atheist but appreciate art, the sculptures and paintings displayed in such a masterpiece of architecture will almost overwhelm your visual senses. This church was one of the main highlights of our trip.

Located in Málaga, southern Spain, the Cathedral of Málaga is a Roman Catholic Church that epitomizes Renaissance architectural tradition, with a construction period spanning from 1528 to 1782. A notable feature of the cathedral is its façade, which, unlike the rest of the building, displays a Baroque style, comprising two levels, with three arches on the lower level, separating portals adorned with marble columns. Malaga's Cathedral, affectionately known as "La Manquita" or "the one-armed lady" by locals, features an unfinished main facade and south tower. Tips: A respectful dress code is encouraged, excluding shorts, tank tops, and beachwear. While photography is allowed, flash photography is prohibited. Admission to the Cathedral of Malaga is free for certain groups, including citizens or residents of the city, people with disabilities, and children under 13 years of age. The standard entrance fee for the Cathedral is €8, the combined ticket for the Cathedral and roofs costs €12, and admission to only the roofs is €8. Allow approximately one hour to tour the cathedral with the audio guide, and factor in an additional hour for the combined entrance that includes access to the roof. This remarkable Spanish cathedral is a must-visit attraction, renowned for its stunning architectural presence and breathtakingly beautiful interior, which will undoubtedly create lifelong memories for visitors.
