Chinchorro is one of those beaches where you can spend the whole day having fun and leisure... If I might recommend, start the day before noon (the city usually dawns cloudy so the sun won't burn you so early). The water is one of the warmest in the country and the you can choose the size of the waves as you walk north.
You will find places for lunch, ice creams or coffee very close to the shore. I suggest DiMango for a meal after the sea.
