Temple of Agriculture — Attraction in Beijing

A hidden gem, and well worth a visit. It's quite some time since I visited the Temple of Agriculture, but it was utterly wonderful. Having been to the Summer Palace and the Forbidden City, both rammed solid, the Temple of Agreculiure was a breth of fresh air. Used by the Emperors to pray for good harvests the buildings now house a model of Bajing before the revolution, and have exhibets showing a time line of howing changing architectural styles developed. I highly recommend this small museum if you are interested in the the history and evolution of architecture in China’s different regions. Der Xiannong Altar gehört zu den 5 Altären in Beijing und ist ein Besuch wert. Er beherbergt das alte Architektur Museum, in welchem detailliert die alte Bauweisen von Tempeln, Palästen und Gräbern erläutert wird. Leider sind nicht mehr alle historischen Gebäude erhalten geblieben.
