The hotel is old and tired. It does have a lift, and security entry to the hotel rooms. The rooms are scuffed and the bathroom has mould in the shower. The linnen is well used, and many towels are frayed and close to ripped. The bed is uncomfortably hard so that you have to keep waking through the night to change positions. ||There is a restaurant and bar on site, which is convenient, and offers a limited choice with an international menu. The staff are helpful, and I was very thankful that some of them spoke English, as I have not had the opportunity to learn many words in Mandarin. Of course, they can only help to the limit of their own mastery of English and beyond that, you are on your own. I found it useful to have a translation app on my phone to help bridge the gaps in my ability to communicate. ||While the hotel is close to the Temple of Heaven park, it is quite a way further from other attractions, though the nearby subway station could help you. We chose to use taxis on this visit, as out first time in Beijing. The hotel staff can help you by ordering the taxi to where you want to go. Also, take your hotel address written in Mandarin, with you when you go out, so that you can ask another taxi driver to take you back to your hotel when you have finished exploring. ||I would rate this as a budget type hotel, as indicated by the cost per night. If you are looking for a little luxury, you will need to find a different...
Read more★★★★☆ A Great Budget Base with Excellent Service! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by the friendly and helpful English-speaking staff , who went above and beyond to make my trip enjoyable. From the moment I arrived, they assisted me in organizing sightseeing trips , gave excellent recommendations, and even guided me to some of the best local food restaurants — which were real highlights of my trip. The room was economically priced , yet comfortable and clean. It included a window, which I really appreciated, and the space was adequate for a solo traveler or short stay. There were also basic amenities provided, though there’s room for improvement in terms of facility upgrades — nothing major, just minor touches that could elevate the experience further. One of the biggest pluses was the excellent location , which put me within walking distance of major sights and local attractions . It made exploring the city so easy and convenient. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for budget travelers who are looking for a comfortable, centrally located place with exceptional service and genuine local hospitality.Great value for money — I’ll definitely...
Read moreThe staff are friendly enough and can speak English. The hotel is located a walking distance from Tianqiao subway station. But the subway itself on line 8 is not that easily accessible to other lines. We have to transfer to a lot of subway lines just to go to tourist places. There are convenient stores and small restaurants nearby. Temple of Heaven west gate is just a walking distance from the hotel. ||The hotel has just only 3 choices of free breakfast. It is an old hotel and it shows with their furniture, wallpapers, and stained bathrooms and bathtubs. The room that was assigned to us has 2 sources of light - 1 from the lampshade and 1...
