Green Lane Service Reservoir Sitting-Out Area — Attraction in Hong Kong Island

It's a lovely green space. Nice open views. Never very crowded. Only drawback is the idiots working here and patrolling like Hitler to prevent kids and families from enjoying themselves. Multiple times daily they are telling kids not to play on the grass. Telling mother's not to wheel their strollers on the grass. No rollerblading. No drone flying. No football. Had many confrontations with the old woman here as have many other visitors. A shame this idiot works here to ruin...

Used to be pretty good Just park along the side road (minimum intrusion to local traffic), but nowadays you'll likely be ticketed... The park itself is usually quiet, and kids would scoot and bike there, with occasional joggers. but last week a guard chased my 5 y.o. off the paved path (not the track nor lawn) for riding her bike, on a Tuesday late afternoon... No...

This "Sitting-Out Area", which is built on top of a service reservoir, is quite popular with the Happy Valley area locals. It has a 400ish metre jogging track and a green pasture within, and some park benches around. It's quite spacious indeed, and is a good hiking destination to wind down after a strenuous walk on the nearby Hong Kong Trail or easy stroll...
