Went to this Chinese resto at the Jockey Club with colleagues. . We ordered the following dishes to share: -Turnip Pudding with Air-dried Meat (HKD58) The turnip pudding was not greasy at all and generously packed with air-dried meat.

-Barbecued Meat Platter: Roasted Pork Belly and Barbecued Pork with Honey Soya Bean (HKD238) The roasted pork belly boasted a crispy skin and a perfect fat-to-meat ratio. The barbecued pork was tender and flavourful.

-Salted Duck with Ginger Sauce (HKD148) The duck was well-seasoned with ginger sauce, but it contained many bones.

-Minced Beef Balls with Bean Curd Sheets (HKD48) The beef balls were substantial and had a delightful bounce to them.

-Spring Rolls with Shrimps and Portuguese Sauce (HKD60) The spring rolls were hotly-fried and generously filled with savoury shrimps.

-Barbecued Pork Pastry with Young Ginger & Preserved Egg (HKD50) Not sure abt the taste as I didnt try it.

-Hau Gau with Bamboo Shoots (HKD55) The hau gau was fresh, with the skin thickness nicely on point.

-Siu Mai with Crab Roe (HKD55) The siu mai was quite meaty.

-Fried Shrimp Wontons with Sweet & Sour Sauce (HKD58) The wontons were crunchy and served piping hot. The sweet and sour sauce elevated its flavour.

-Wok-fried Cheong Fan with XO Chilli Sauce (HKD62) The cheong fan became really savoury with the XO chilli sauce. It had a sikly texture too.

-Cuttlefish and Fried Rice (HKD198) The cuttlefish was pleasantly chewy, and the fried rice smelled aromatic and had a nice grainy texture.

-Wok-baked E-fu Noodles (HKD?) Not particularly memorable.

-Baked Sago Pudding with Chestnut Paste & Puff Pastry (HKD58) Filled with chestnut paste, the pudding had a right level of sweetness. It was soft and beautifully presented. . The resto exclusively caters to Jockey Club members. It offers ample and bright spaces, and provides...

Gallop Restaurant, located at the Jockey Club in Hong Kong, offers an excellent dining experience. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of choices on the menu, and the prices are quite reasonable. Despite being managed under the club, the service is outstanding—attentive and professional.

However, the restaurant is quite busy, which makes it a little noisy at times. The only downside was my experience with the receptionist at the front. I witnessed her rudely yelling at a guest who was talking on the phone, instructing him to step outside—just two steps away from where he was standing. This seemed unnecessary, especially since there were no visible signs indicating a no-phone policy.

Overall, Gallop Restaurant is a great place for a meal with excellent food and service, though the reception experience could...

The service was excellent. The lunchtime dim sum options were more traditional , with fewer unique choices. Most of the dim sum was not too greasy, used good ingredients, and had generous portions. The presentation was neat, but the flavors were slightly mild.

Shrimp spring rolls were outstanding. The thin and crispy skin was not greasy, and the filling was packed with juicy shrimp without overwhelming other ingredients. The bbq char siu buns with crispy were also good. The buns were the right size, soft, and fluffy.

The coffee jelly dessert had a rich coffee flavor and a satisfying...
