The farm also serves as a private campsite. We camped for 1 night which was HK$200 per head. The farm is accessible from sea by a ferry from Pak Sha Wan Pier near Sai Kung, or by land via a hiking trail / stairs near University of Science & Technology. We came by the ferry, which was such a scenic ride, and left via the hiking trail which took us around 25-30 minutes.
The campsite is probably not so well-known, so apart from our tent, there was only one other group that night (despite it was a long public holiday). So we had the whole vast space to ourselves, but it was not very pretty and there were some broken playground facilities around.
We rented a table & some chairs at an extra HK$50, which was so convenient. The toilet was also quite clean and well established as compared to some other private campsites in Hong Kong I have been to.
Overall it was an alright experience given how secluded and quiet the place was. It is also located near a beach (albeit a dirty one) so you could take a stroll. Read moreWill never come back again!!!! What a waste owning this nice little nature area but all they offer are cooking classes. So basically it’s cooking classes under natural environment! The one and ONLY kind of animal is goats, they were walking around on facebook photos but it’s not happening at all in reality. Kids find this place board too. I would suggest the owner just to focus on NATURE, importing more kind of animals, let kids do farming! Yes there are no farming at all instead kids are only allow to make a small little plant, so cooking and making a plant, we can do these from home and won’t need to do it...
Read moreGreat place for a family day out, or actually I would say you can spend half day here. Plant a peppermint, get explanations about the grown veggies (however, in Cantonese), go to the playgrounds with the kids, make a pizza and if you want you can go here for camping as well. Back you can take a ferry to Sai Kung (but not to the main ferry pier). Attention: If you easily get mosquito bites, then take a strong mosquito and bug repellant. To go the this farm you can take a minibus from Choi Hung to HKUST and then walk down for about 5min (the path goes down behind the...
