Spend a whole day at WaterWord with my friends yesterday! Honestly speaking, this is great new attraction for HK! The park smells brand-new and looks and feels well build. The facilities are great and overall the experience is well crafted. We took the shuttlebus from Ocean Park MTR station, in 15 min they drive you around to the ocean-side where the park is located. Gaining entrance to the park is super easy if you've already purchased your tickets, locker rental & shuttle-bus online. You'll get a bunch of QR codes that you'll have to scan at the main gate and when you claim your locker. It's pretty easy to figure out how to use it but if you have any trouble a member of the team is there to help. The changing rooms and lockers are super spacious, bright, clean and tidy. (you can fit two standard backpacks into a "regular-size" locker, but if you need more space you can rent another one on the spot). We did all the rides apart from Vortex, as that one had the longest wait-time (+40min) so recommend you to do this one early on!! If you have a spare HK$350 then buy the 'splash-pass' which lets you skip the line at every single slide for an unlimited number of times. (We saw people ride the slide we were waiting for 2 times while we were standing in the regular queue. Depending on the time of day, not all the queue areas are in the shade, so make sure you bring enough sun-screen!! Quick shout-out to the slide-attendants, they were kind and fun and added to the experience by making jokes, giving your tube a spin before being pushed into the slide etc. awesome job team! There are only 2 cafe's were you can purchase something to eat/drink. DO NOT expect much, the food was basic at best. The fries tasted like they were fried 45 min ago and looked pretty much the same... the shawarma wrap looked the least bad option on the menu, but as you can see in the photo below, does not live up the the expectation. We also tried the Taco's and Burger, but non of us would order these items again. Instead I'd bring a sandwich from home next time. However you don't go here for the culinary experience, instead you want to ride these AMAZING slides they have, honestly they are really good! The view you get on a nice day is also pretty decent. One final tip: You are still required to wear a mask when you're not in the water or on a slide, so each time you get in line, you are supposed to wear a mask, bring a water-proof bag to put it in when you're riding a slide or buy a quick-drying sport-mask.

We had a really wonderful experience here. To get here, you can take a shuttle bus from ocean park entrance (look for directions). Buy tickets online so entry is a breeze. You will be given a wrist band for locker rental, which is highly recommended, as you cannot leave your belongings anywhere around. We only brought our phones and cc/octopus in waterproof cases. You'll want to bring bare minimum so it's much easier to move around and take rides too. (Within the play area there will be mini lockers) The family rooms are fantastic. Each large cubicle has a toilet, shower (with shampoo and soap), wash basin and hair dryer provided. Changing and washing up as a family was really convenient. They provide water extractor as well, it was a pleasant service. We had our lunch at Cavern's Kitchen, there were many cuisines to choose from. I loved how they provided such a full range of sauces, and even provided bowls (so intuitive for sharing!), everything we needed was there for us to help ourselves. Washrooms for parents with children are so spacious - such a wonderful change from the usual squeezy spaces. They were all really pleasant and clean too There were only a few options for my toddler - horizon cove, whiskers splash, big wave bay, lazy cruise (closed 10-2.30pm), riptide (closed 2-6pm), though I'd say it was good enough and he enjoyed himself thoroughly. I found it really good that they had a section - hidden village, where everything was enclosed and shielded from the elements. We didn't have to worry too much about sunburn just staying within the enclosed areas. There were many staff around all areas, it was easy to get help and assistance if needed. Service and experience was really splendid. We were there from morning till almost closing. Do take note of the closure timings of the some of the areas so you can plan which places to go efficiently. Water world is closed on Wednesdays.

I never thought, I would give 3 stars to anything related to Ocean Park. There are many things to frown upon when you go to a place thinking about fun and paying for the same. So, we went on a weekday and it was heavily crowded, which of course is not it's fault. The problem starts with crowd management and hygiene regulations. Given the Ocean Park Standards, who gave us Mine Train and Hair Raiser, the expectations were super high. The attractions were good but after a couple of them enjoyed, others will feel repetitive. Nothing innovative. For kids, big wave and rip tide were a big hit and they spent almost the entire time there. 1. Over priced lockers and even after paying the price, you cannot get to stuff your family bag inside and have to roam with some of the stuffs in your hand. 2. Navigations are poorly marked. 3. Staff is not polite and helping. 4. Venue Management-- Masks, water bottle and wraapper lying on the ground here and there. 5. Covid Management-- No strict mask policy. 6. Only 3 restaurants with very limited option and vegetarians are totally neglected. You either get your own food and store it in locker and get it every time from there which is time consuming or rely on fries and absolutely tastess and oil soaked beyond meat and fishless fillet preparato 6. Not enough shower rooms, you eventually may have to change outside the shower room in a cramped space. Good luck if you have kids with you! 7. Frequency of shuttle bus is poor and the park is not well covered by public transport system.. so you have to wait for good 35-40 minutes to start you journey back home after hanging in the queue. I hope the reviews pouring in will help the Water world Mangement to give Hongkongers a Hong Kong standard Water Park.

Went here on the first day of public opening and was pretty much underwhelmed after all of the delays and exploding budget. The outcome? Essentially a water park with slides that already exist pretty much everywhere around the world, hence no unique factor. Despite more than a week of preview, operational kinks are still pretty much apparent, particularly on the attractions VORTEX and CAVERN CHASE. The lines were listed as 40 and 30 minutes respectively, but I’m very sure I waited for at least 50 minutes for VORTEX alone. Capacity on these attractions are pure nightmare, with the already-low capacity being cut by 50% due to the apparently applied social distancing rule of not allowing more than 1 group of people being on the same tube (4 people per tube, but most visitors came in groups of 2, so effectively only 2 people per tube most of the time). The weirdest thing, however, is the mask policy. Masks can be taken off only when going down the slides, which is pretty weird IMO. They expect us to wear our masks wet all day long, apparently, OR carry water-proof pouches everywhere - including going down the slides - for our masks and flip-flops. Overall, it’s fun, but downright underwhelming, considering the park had 4 extra years to consider different slides. Yet here it is with plain, standard slides.

Must visit on your trip to Hongkong with kids specially. The indoor area is a great relief for people who want to stay away from direct sunlight. The lazy river was not operational which was a sad part. Most of the slides though were operational. The place was not at all crowded even on a Saturday. It takes time from a shuttle bus to reach the place, at least 15 mins. You need a prior reservation to be made on there website to visit. The wave pool is both outdoor and indoor which is nice keeping in mind the hot coastal weather. Life jackets are available in plenty. For Indians: No Swimming Costumes is available on rent, only lockers are available for rent. There is one Snack counter which offers small samosa and fries as a vegetarian option. Also, remember that sleepers will be required, in India we usually never wear sleepers to the water park but, over here the floor is a little harsh on feet, so remember to wear sleepers or something else on your feet. I would love to visit again and build memories with kids. Remember if travelling with kids, your kids will get exhausted by the end of the day, so either your hotel should be nearby or you should arrange a cab to your hotel, because it wont be possible for kids to walk that much, if travelling by MTR. Also, plan your dining options prior to visit.

Water world was an attraction in the southern part of the island. The area was not too big. Free shuttle service was provided near the subway station. The staff at the entrance was helpful. Locker area was on the left side while the kiosk was on the right. Paper tag with QR code was put on the wrist as the key plus your own password for opening the door. Only one tag for one locker and different sizes were provided at different prices. Reservation was recommended. Changing rooms were separated in the locker area, male on the left and female on the right. The rooms were well equipped with individual shower rooms and benches along the corridor. Generally the queue for each facility was long which might take an hour for each queue. If all facilities were your favorites, a VIP pass was probably necessary to be added with extra charges. Attendants were not so adequate at the time of visit, lengthening the queuing time. Since many chairs were placed at resting area, the need to book a private shelter was not so important. Tickets were also available at travel agencies website. Food and drink were available and the price was quite high due to no competition. Spending a day there was one of the choices during annual leave or day off.
