Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao Tourism Ticketing Center — Attraction in Shanghai

One review had this listed in the top 10 things to do in Shanghai. Having been to Shanghai many times, I wouldn’t put it in the top 20. The village is interesting, but very much over commercialized. I much preferred the ancient town in Chongqing.

The three ticketed “attractions” are overpriced. In particular the art gallery which is only 3 rooms, one of which is portraits of (mostly) western leaders’ wives. The entire place is maybe the size...

전형적인 강남수향 고진이다. 인구는 약 66,000명이고, 주요거리는 북대가(北大街), 동정가(東井街), 서정가(西井街), 대신가(大新街), 동시가(東市街) 등이 있다

상하이의 베니스'라는 별칭을 가진 주가각은 약 1700년 전 양쯔강 물길을 따라 만들어진 상하이에서 가장 오래된 수향마을이다. 송원 시대부터 상업이 발달하기 시작해 명청 시대 때 1천 여 개의 상점이 들어설 만큼 전성기를 누렸다고 한다.

그래서 주가각은 들어서는 순간부터 과거로의 시간 여행을 떠난 듯한 느낌을 선사한다. 명청 시대에 만들어진 건축물부터 한 눈에 봐도 오래된 아치형 돌다리, 그 아래를 유유히 지나가는 전통 배까지. 모든것이 주가각 옛 모습 그대로를 간직하고 있다. 전통의 풍경을 담고 있는 골목뿐만 아니라 역사적으로 의미가 있는 장소와 역사와 문화를 동시에 느낄수 있다

과식원, 방생교, 대청 우국이 top 3 point이다 수로 주변의 카페가 일품이다
