The receptionist greeted me with "pay now" (...). The masseurs will utter the occasional loud burp, you're with a maximum of 10 other people in the room, no music or nice little plants or any decor actually, and the occasional sound of another patron snoring. And that latter part is indication that this place is actually good. My mind was thinking this would probably be a horrible massage, with my masseur talking to other masseurs while starting to massage me (usually a terrible sign), but as he (a half blind older gentleman) kept going, I noticed he really knew what he was doing. Everything felt really good and he was spot on with pressure, and I had both a foot massage and a body massage. Tldr; this place is a no-nonsense, really good massage parlor where they know what they are doing. Be sure to tip your masseur if you're happy (not requested, but common decency). I had a 60 minute neck and back and foot massage which was one of the cheaper options at 138RMB. No 45 minute massages any more. This was my first ever massage, so I've nothing to compare to, but seemed pretty good!
As others have said the masseuses are generally blind or visually impaired. Reception staff spoke English....
