In my opinion, this is not the most interesting place in this very nice city, full of charming corners and beautiful gardens, which I will definitely visit again someday. The fact is, however, that when asked about the "new center" (I meant the East Gate and the surrounding area) the locals were indignant saying "HERE is the center of Suzhou!" pointing to Guanqian street.
