Beautiful zoo with a great staff. The staff throughout the zoo, including the women collecting the entrance fee, greeted us with a smile and were helpful throughout. Bravo to the staff. The zoo was very clean and well organized. They have bear claw prints on the ground that lead you around the zoo. There is a wide variety of animals and they all looked healthy and well fed. The butterfly exhibit was a large enclosure that you entered and there were different species of butterflies everywhere. The cost was $14,000 Pesos ($5 U.S.). What a deal. My friends and really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend visiting the zoo.

This zoo is a sad state of affairs. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see a jaguar confined to a tiny cage, an animal that normally has a territory of miles. The jaguar was pacing back and forth erratically which is not normal behavior. Other animals like the lion and anteater looked distressed as well. I did not see much evidence that this zoo prioritizes animal welfare. Please do not support this zoo. One redeeming factor of this zoo: I had the BEST cup of coffee in all of Colombia in the little coffee hut that's near the hippo and lion enclosure. A surprising find!

Beautiful and well equipped zoo. I was surprised with the amount of animals that were actually present. Some other zoos always are like "under construction" "lion is eating" "zebra died" but this zoo had on display all the species they offered. The animals seemed to be in good condition. The green areas were super well treated and clean. We met a kid named Jacobo, he served as a kind of mini guide and he knew everything about every corner of the Santa Fe Zoo. He was very sweet and smart. Very cool for kids, have restaurant on site, and bathrooms are clean.

The park is beautiful although small. We got there around 2pm and it took about 3 hours give or take. There is a aviary that you can walk through; however, if you are there late in the afternoon you might not see many of their birds. Apparently there are 30 speices! I would suggest getting there earlier than 2pm if you want to see more of the animals and birds! There definitely are many animals to see. As of writing this review, some of the habitats are closed due to renovation to make them better. Which is great! All and all, the park has potential!

I really enjoyed this zoo. The price to get in was really affordable less than $8 USD. And there were tons of animals to see. I even saw some animals I’ve never even heard of before. My favorite animal to see were definitely the hippos. The zoo is pretty big as well took me about 2 hours to explore it. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area. They also sell food and drinks as well. And it wasn’t really that crowded when I was here.

This place was great, I took my oldest daughter here, we saw a lot of new animals and we had a great time. The animals looked well taken cared of and the place was clean and pleasant. It took us about 3 hours to see the whole thing, it was a nice relax walk under lots of shade, the staff was nice and helpful, the animals did not seem miserable, it was more of a preserve than a zoo, and that’s a good thing. Recommended!
