My name is Frank Garcia. I am chairman of National Association of Latino State Chambers last time I stayed there a couple of months ago they were under construction. The staff was very rude and tried to charge me more money saying that was a tax when you come from the United States you do not pay tax and they try to tell me laws that are not real my lawyer Who works for the tax department of Colombia verified what they were doing was fraud this is a great hotel. I’ve been staying here for a couple years, but the staff is very difficult to deal with. I will be preparing an event in March 1 Minority event with 200 businesses I recommend the hotel because of the neighborhood hopefully they will get the staff better train. The community in the area is very safe. Lotta restaurants the best area for business travel unfortunately, this is the only hotel in this area that I know of. I’m looking to travel back to Colombia in a week to organize my event in the beginning of March for this time, I’m bringing corporate executives hopefully they’ll treat my guest with better respect. They threatened to go to immigration if we didn’t pay for the tax even though in the beginning, they never said anything and they tried to not charge me the tax and then they try to charge Vera Moore Cosmetics. That’s a Minority company trying to help disadvantage women businesses in Colombia. They threatened her and did not let her go to her room till we resolve the issue. I’ seen from the reviews that the issues are still there hopefully when I go to Colombia and meet with the mayor and the governor and the secretary of tourism, we could change around these practice because I believe in the hotel there’s some employees that are very helpful but they are very rude I have not stayed in the hotel since eight months. Hopefully it has changed. I will let everybody know when I stay in the hotel in two weeks. The manager of the hotel is very good and I have not been able to have a meeting with her, but I know she is trying to change the way they do business hopefully, they will train their employees on customer service and how to better treat their customers they threatened to go to immigration to report me I already reported them to the Secretary Of Commerce for the mayor‘s office as paying customers we should not tolerate this...
Read moreI really enjoyed my stay. I asked for a quiet room which I was provided. The room and hotel are very clean. A few suggestions. Please install water filters for drinking water on every floor. I find that the lights being installed in hotels are much too bright. I'm a designer and in our design concept we always create calm spaces by considering light. The super bright white light that is in the lobby (a type of hanging wrapped cord) would be much more soothing and welcoming in a warm golden light. Also the lights in the room are much too bright. I never turned on the overhead bathroom light because it was like a surgical room, also the lights on either side of the mirror were too bright so I barely turned them on unless I needed to. The other option would be to have a switch that allows you to choose the colour temperature of the light as some lights that are sold give you this option. Meaning that people who prefer bright white light could choose that and those that prefer soft golden light could adjust the switch to choose that option. I found the music in the lobby too loud. It's nice to have quiet at night when you are arriving to the hotel after a long flight and are exhausted or going down to get filtered water. I'm not sure why everywhere in the world people feel you have to have music and also loud music. The cleaning lady was spraying a perfumed chemical spray onto the carpet in the hallways. This smell seeped into my room. Many people have bad allergies (including me) to chemical fragrances. Please consider switching the scent to an all natural mint or other gentle essential oil. For those who are sensitive to light, sound and smells, it's nice to consider a more calming and natural design concept (golden lights that are not harsh on the eyes, smells that are organic, quiet music and periods of no music to eliminate constant stimulation). Overall, the service was very good, it was a reasonable price and I did enjoy my stay. I do recommend....
Read moreThe staff is very rude and very unhelpful the rooms have only about 10 square feet of empty space, there's just enough room for the bad and nothing else, the TV did not work, the cleaning people stole things from my room, the food sold down in the lobby was just reheated frozen food, the people that serve the breakfast buffet did the bare minimum, when I ask them to cook me things like eggs that they are supposed to cook they acted like it was a huge inconvenience, I use the parking garage and they did not tell me that they paid for the parking I had to pay for the parking several times until I realized that they could validate the parking they never told me anyting. The people are very prejudice there they treated me differently because I was an American. Please do not give these people your money, there are plenty of better places that are nicer and are in better...
