Crepes & Waffles — Restaurant in Medellín

Food is awesome. I will always go there but services subpar which I didn't understand because they're not under staffed. then my Colombian friend pointed out it might be because I'm a gringo . they treat outsiders differently . I could see that being in the street but in an establishment ? then I noticed it. When I returned . I sat down in a relatively empty area while service employees just kept walking past me then other locals sat down around me and they were greeted and serviced before I even got a menu. I will still go in spite of that . the food quality and the value is amazing but just know going into some establishments as a foreigner you might be...

Medellín is a warm city and it's understandable that a lot of times people here find the need to us AC at full power. But the day my friends and I went there, it was a rather cold day, it was late in the afternoon so the sun was setting and where was absolutely no need for AC (besides the fact that the place has an open front and it escapes anyway). Well the AC was on full power and right above us and when I asked politely to turn it off, the just lowered the intensity and after about 10 min they turned it back on again. First they left me waiting at the entrance over 5 minutes to be seated even though there were plenty of tables available. Then she wanted to see my COVID vaccination card. I would have had this ready if they'd had a notice at the entrance. Finally got seated. 5 minutes later she brought me somebody else's drink, even though I hadn't even ordered yet. Finally they brought me a menu. The food was good, but the service tonight......
