What a wonderful place. This is a interactive museum where you can learn thousands of interesting things. You will need at least one full day to visit it, best if you take two. When you come in, there is a few interesting attractions in the outdoor part, where you can experience some cool things about physics. There is a small but interesting aquarium with sweet and salty water spices and a terrarium with only few but cool small animals. In the different rooms of the park (music, mind, time…) you get to see, touch, read, hear and experience in different ways how those things work. There are a looot of pieces to interact with. Everything have explanations in Spanish and most of them in english as well. There is looots of staff around the place to help you, answer your questions and explain you the attractions. Most of the workers very kind, friendly and very passionate about the job. Inside of the park you have some restaurants and cafes so you don’t even need to go out. When its busy, it can be a bit overcrowded and you will have to wait some time to get to use the different components, but not a big deal. Very recommended for everyone, families, couples, kids and adults. There is something for everyone. We loveeed it and when we will be back in Medellin, we will be back at explora Park without doubt. Congratulations for the amazing park and keep up the good work.

My family came here to spend the day while visiting Medellin last week. Based on the website and YouTube videos, I didn’t really know what to expect. I knew there were the outdoor hands on activities and the aquarium, but I didn’t know about all the other activities upstairs. We spent 5 hours here walking through the outdoor areas, aquarium and all 4 of the themed rooms. We were pleasantly surprised by all the hands on, interactive stations in each section. Each room upstairs is separated into different themes: time, music, mind and “on stage.” Each area had something interesting for both adults and kids. It was a perfect way to spend the day for my 8 year old. The staff was helpful and everyone we interacted with was very pleasant. They helped us understand what each activity was about and the man working down in the aquarium was very informative and nice to speak with. The facilities were clean and well maintained with nothing out of order. The only thing that could be improved upon in my opinion is the food offerings. There are only a few fast food options and nothing looked fresh or well made. Be sure to eat beforehand or bring snacks if you will be there for a long time. For the price we paid (40 mil COP per person) and all the fun we had, it was well worth it. I highly recommend to visit here, especially if you have kids.

If you want to enjoy a chill day of learning and exploring and do something different while in Medellin, Explora is a great choice. This area has other attractions like the botanical garden and planetarium, but to me Explora is the more unique experience. I hadn’t been here for a while and this time I came to see the Axolotls in the vivarium, due to recently reading the short story of the same name by Julio Cortázar. The Axolotls didn’t disappoint! they’re fantastic creatures, and the rest of Explora was great too! It’s has the biggest freshwater acquarium tank in Latam and has a lot of native species, including Amazonian fish like Pirarucú and many others like the beautiful Clown Fish and Blue Tang (Nemo and Dory). There is also a vivarium with reptiles like huge snakes and bright poisonous toads, in addition to the Axolotls. And then there’s the different exhibitions where children of all sizes and ages can learn and interact with different displays about our minds, time, natural phenomena and others. The staff is super friendly and geeky so we enjoyed the conversations with them. Come check it out!

You'll hear a lot of people refer to this as "El Acuario" (The Aquarium) but, it's really much more than that. Admission is around 25,000 pesos per person and you start in an aquarium. You move through 3 floors of habitats and then you come out to a central hub of sorts where you can relax with a nice view of the street, grab some food, or move on to another section of the museum. Most exhibits have 2 floors and while we were there, they had one for time, music, how brains work, and more. Right next to the metro, fairly inexpensive, and well-done, this is a good, relaxed, mostly indoor activity for the whole family. It's also close to the metro and the botanical garden. If you ask me, a good full day in this area is to start at the free botanical garden and after 3-4 hours there, head to Explora Park where you could spend another 4-6 hours.

Amazing interactive exhibits with everything from physics, to cinema, to music and so much more. We got the Combo tickets for 48,000 COP (~12 USD) which was the best deal and included a super cool planetarium show. We spent over 5 hours there and still almost didn't see everything!!! Definitely an all day event. Angelica working in Sala En Escena was the best employee we encountered after going through each section of Parque Explora. She gave us exceptional advice and lots of excellent information about the park as well as Colombia. We speak little Spanish, but Angelica's English was fantastic. She was very very nice and welcoming.

—— English ——- An excellent place to visit with family and friends. If you like the science, the technology, the aquatic life and enjoy knowing “how things works”, this is the right place to visit in Medellin. The only issue is that the tickets are quite expensive if you visit the place with a bunch of people.
