This is one of the most beautiful Churches I have visited. Situated in the center of the city, one can just walk into and appreciate the old structure. A river flows behind this Church. It is said that this church was destroyed during a war and then rebuild the same design. There is a lot of peace surrounded there. the aura is the most positive, birds chirping, a playful fountain is located near by. there are many stores and eatery around which servers good Croatian delicacies as well, along with good beverage. Can get good pictures during a sunny day as the sun shines bright on to the church the whole day.

The church is entered via a small door to the right of the main portal, overlooked by a trio of gargoyles. The interior is a treasure trove of neo-Gothic ornamentation, with a succession of pinnacled altars overlooked by exuberant stained glass windows. The interior was finished off in 1938–1942 when leading Croatian painter Mirko Rački covered the walls and ceilings with brightly coloured frescoes illustrating famous episodes from the Old and New Testaments. They will just take you back in those days and make you a part of it. Simply Astonishing...

Really lovely and impressive church. Very peaceful and tranquil. The art on the walls is wonderful - it's not exactly Michaelangelo quality, but it is stunning in its own right. The recent history is also fascinating, with some of the murals still showing signs of damage from the homeland wars. The locals are clearly very proud of the church too, and rightly so. We were given an impromptu tour as we walked in which...
