In the middle of our stay in Cuba we went to a paradise called Viñales. While we were heading towards Viñales we met a great guy, Fran, who already arranged a 9-hour horse ride and exploring the beautiful valley so we jumped in the tour. It turned out to be the best decision that we have made in Cuba. Crystal and Miguel were very frendly and great guides. Talking with them we saw Cuba from both, foreign and domestic, perspective as Crystal is from Europe and Miguel was raised in Viñales. We were only three in the group, each on its own horse. We explored all the natural beauties of the valley, from tabacco and coffee fields, lake where you can enjoy swimming, to visiting domestic families where we tried the best juice in the world (squeezed sugar cane tree) especially delicious with a little bit of rum. 😉 In the end of the tour we had dinner at Miguel's mother house, tipical Cuban plates prepared by her that was included in the price. Crystal and Miguel thank you for this amazing experience, hospitality and kindness, I will remember this for all my life! Saludos por mi preferido, el Pequeño. Niko tambien saluda a Tequilla. Read moreA great experience riding in this beautiful countryside. The ride included a stop at a tobacco plantation, a cave and a coffee plantation, with extensive knowledge shared by the farmers whose families have worked this land for generations. Although our guide Tati did not speak much English and we do not speak Spanish, he engaged with us the whole trip and it was delightful trying our best to communicate. After our ride we stopped at the casa of Chrystel and José-manuel for a wonderful meal and an insight from Chrystel on the beginnings of JMC. I would definitely recommend Tati and this fun and...
Read moreWe had the chance to take a full day horse tour during our staying in Cuba. The JMC Family was extremely accommodating and helpful. They arranged a taxi from Havana to Viñales (and back), in order to get to the place would start.
The tour took around 9 hours, of which around 4 riding a horse. We got to see beautiful views from mountain tops, a local tobacco farm, and a local coffee farm. Even though our guide did not speak English, we were still able to enjoy every activity.
Extremely recommended to everyone who wants to enjoy a full day immersed in the nature riding a horse and visiting a true...
