3J Bar Tapas — Restaurant in Viñales

This place is special, take it from us who who eaten in some of the Worlds top restaurants - including the current No 1. Massimo Bottura, chef patron of Osteria Francescana, a three-Michelin-star restaurant. The chef is using the beautiful Cuban organic food and fresh ingredients from a local farm, so be prepared for the best of the best in terms of flavour, freshness and design - great taste combinations and a very wide choice. The tapas here is pretty good, although the portions are pretty small for the price you pay. Of course everyone knows tapas is served in smaller portions, but not this small. The drinks are nice and they leave you with the bottle of rum to add to your pina colada as you wish, like elsewhere in Cuba. The atmosphere is nice and the area too, and the waiters are not really friendly, but they are efficient and do their job. The veranda is good for people watching and relaxing. What really ruined the experience for me was the state of the bathrooms. It's a problem everywhere in Cuba, but in a restaurant like this I would expect things to be different, at the very least clean. but We went back five times in our stay in Vinales from our home...

We have waited 15 min for a table and some French guys were given a table before us, even though they were on the line after us. We got a small cocktail table, completely unfit for having a dinner. When we asked if we can change to a better table when one got free, the guy at the door denied our request and said he has someone already waiting on the bar. The people that got the table got to the restaurant after us. Anyway, we have decided to stay and spent 50 CUC on a dinner here. While the food was very good, they did not bring the tapas they advertise in the 3 CUC beer + tapa offer. Got 4 beers, only 2 small tapas after a big delay. Not...

A pleasant surprise for me in Viñales. Special thanks to Yolaxis, kind and helpful assistance from him for everything. I ate here one of the best tapas ever, fresh and tasty, and probably one of the best lamb from all around the world. Cooked in red wine, this is one of the house special dishes here. High quality service, excellent balance of quality and money for 3J Bar Tapas Viñales. Not in the end, because I have booked already a hiking trip in the neighbourhood, I ask for a maximum fast delivery and everything was ready in 25 minutes...and despite of this short time, they kept the same quality.... Muchas gracias por una comida...
