I had such an amazing day out here! I visited midday and they had a button exhibition on it was really inspiring. I then headed up to the first floor where all the jewellery was. I was like a magpie! So many sparkles ✨ beautiful collection of many different pieces. It amazes me how creative people can be. They had everything from beaded bags, hair pins, rings, broaches, crowns. All amazing accessories and trinkets from many different parts of the world. On the second floor they have glass, again an amazing collection. From the machines that were originally used to make glass to the final product. In a different part of the building they have the Christmas ornaments exhibit. Really enjoyed how it was in colour co ordinated and different themes of baubles. Really fun experience. My only wish is a gift shop. Muzeum skla a bižuterie v Jablonci nad Nisou je jediným muzeem v České republice specializovaným na sklo a bižuterii. Založeno bylo roku 1904.Pojďte si prohlédnout zdejší sbírky skla, bižuterie, knoflíků, mincí, medailí, plaket a vánočních ozdob v nové moderní části muzea. Pro zájemce je zde audio prohlídka v několika jazycích, samozřejmě i česky. Tohle se mi líbilo.

Pod názvy Nekonečný příběh bižuterie a Čarovná zahrada – České sklo sedmi století zde vznikly otevřené a vstřícné stálé expozice, kde jsou informace návštěvníkům podávány v několika rovinách. Umožňují nahlédnout do hlubších souvislostí, ale poskytují i možnost pouze meditovat nebo si jen s částmi expozic pohrát.

Nekonečný příběh bižuterie byla doplněna o unikátní soubor historických šperků a oděvních doplňků ze sbírky Waldes, z nichž některé jsou staré téměř tři tísíce let. Sbírka prezentuje historický vývoj zdobení člověka a ukazuje pradávné spojení účelu a krásy. Exkluzivní šperky a doplňky jsou uspořádané podle jednotlivých evropských uměleckých stylů od doby železné po secesi.

Expozice byla také obohacena o stovky nových exponátů, interaktivních prvků a dalších zajímavostí. Rozšířená kolekce knoflíků obsahuje přes 2000 jedinečných vzorů. Muzeum dalo také více prostoru bižuterii z plastu a dřeva.

Změn doznala i expozice skla, která je největší stálou výstavou svého typu u nás.
