The Fat Indian — Attraction in Copenhagen Municipality

Very very bad experience. This is the third time I ordered food from them and each time the worst experience. I ordered two times from their Amager and one time from Østerbro shop.

Experienced the following:

All recipes that I ordered tasted the same in short no change in taste.

Basmatiris Rice:

The rice with every meal felt like it was days old

Biryani Lamb:

Biryani had no indian flavour and on top of that it smlled bad. My friend just threw it. And it's not lamb but beef.

Butter Chicken:

The butter chicken was filled with color and no real taste.

Vegetable Karahi

Vegetabes were hard to crush and the recipe was tasteless so had to trash it

Chicken Jalfarezi

Not good, trashed it

Special Gulab Jamun

Tasted the same what I buy from other indian shops. No special ingredient or flavor.

Palak

No special taste. I guess it was only boiled with just salt added in it.

Naan

Nothing special, an ordinary naan

Keema and vegetable Samosas

Both had vegetables in them and small portion of keema in keema samosas.

As I travel alot I have been many times to india and the biryani, butter chicken etc are way way better there.

Just wasted my money. Wouldn't recommend...

Not great honestly. We went to collect at agreed time and were made to wait another 10 minutes. When ordering you have to specify whether you want your dish mild, medium or hot. My daughter wanted hers mild, it arrived so spicy even I (who loves spicy food) could barely eat it. Why ask how customer wants it if you are going to ignore and do the opposite? This dish was also extremely oily. I had ordered the palak aloo, but received palak paneer instead (which is not even made with paneer but with feta cheese, which is precisely why I had ordered the potato version instead because that didn’t sound appetising - and indeed it wasn’t). The rice was grey and clumpy, not sure what happened there. And the naan was pale and rubbery so probably cooked in the microwave. Visiting Copenhagen from the UK we are used to a high standard in terms of Indian food but had an open mind about this one and would have been happy if at least the food had been fresh. Slightly upset tummies this morning so suspect dishes had been sitting around for a day or so at least. A real shame and a disappointment for what should have been a nice treat on...

Simply pathetic I would say stay away from such places. We ordered food and it arrived in 2 hours. Taste was same for all the dishes and it’s one of the worst Indian food I had. Also the service level is really bad, if you call them and ask about the order they will reply arrogantly that they have been too busy and order will arrive in another 10 min which doesn’t happen. My advice: Don’t take orders which you can’t cater to as nobody likes to wait 2 hours for a...
