located just 4 blocks from my airbnb while on vacation in CPH this was a reccomendation from my host as a must go spot for weekend brunch. being a big fan of brunch fare i had to go see for myself. glad i did as this was a winner for sure. the idea of picking all my items from 3 to 7 items as i wish was unique as i am picky with my foods and like to get big meals for brunch also. the options were wide and diverse and everything seemed to be of very high quality and prepared in uniqe ways as well. nothing bland or basic. i did the 5 item opton with salmon, bread, fruit salad, fried eggs and my favorite cake....carrot! plus house coffee which is on point! my meal as shown was delicious! i almost wish i had done the 7 options to get 2 more items to try out. next time i guess. service is fast although i was the 4th person in the door after a sunday opening. cute place inside thats cozy and welcoming. seats about 30 people inside. waitress was quite and not very talkative at all but im ok with that. food was great, fast and affordable. id go...
Read moreThis was the worst breakfast (experience) ever... at the beginning we waited for 30 minutes outside for a table although they told us only 2 people were there before us and will wait for a table too.. BUT then they seated 6 people before us.. then we sat at the talbe next to the door which they didnt close correctly most of the time and due to that it was really cold.
The coffee tasted very bad & bitter, in the waffle was a hair and besides that it was very dry! Overall the portions are tiny - like for kids, the porridge had a strange taste (really bitter) and the price is not worth it - it is too expensive for what you get! The butter was in a tiny plastic container (8g) and it lasts for only one bread. Sorry, but we looked forward to our breakfast/brunch there but we are really unsatisfied.
We told them that we were not happy at all and we would write a bad recommandation, but they only offered us another coffee which we didnt want because it was the worst...
Read moreMad og Kaffe has a nice breakfast concept: all their dishes are fairly small, but there's a fairly wide selection to choose from as well. You can do a la carte or choose freely between 3, 5 or 7 dishes, which are then all served together on a wooden board. Drinks are extra. Prices are reasonable and the quality is good. There's classics such as sausage, fried or scrambled egg, bacon, yoghurt, croissant etc. and some specialties such as rødgrød med fløde (fruit porridge with cream), avocado with a light chili crumble etc. There's the usual selection of tea and coffee as well, along with fresh juice and more. The staff is friendly and service minded. Go try it out, you...
