I recently went to the Dominican Republic and had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Christ Redeemer Statue in Puerto Plata. Standing tall atop Mount Isabel de Torres, this landmark offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The grounds and park around the Santa Isabel de Torres mountain are lush and available for hiking.
The site surrounding the Christ Redeemer Statue was clean and well maintained. There were ample seating areas where one can relax and soak in the beauty. Read moreUnique skyride which is the biggest/tallest one in the Caribbean. It costs 10$ for gringos and 5$ for locals. It provides beautiful views. When u get up top there is a large statue (Cristo Redentor) where u can take pictures. There is also a store there along with a bathroom. You can also walk around the area but during my visit it was very cloudy and misty. When its cloudy the mountain top is covered in clouds. If you get cold easy bring a sweater as temps drop a lot on the mountain top. Skyride is also not recommended to those that are scared of...

Just not a big deal. We paid the guide $20 for his hour and 20 minutes and he looked disappointed. I thought it seemed like a...
