This is from a visit in June 2023. This is definitely a beautiful place to visit and appreciate the scenic view of Puerto Plata. HOWEVER....watch out for the tourist trappers.....Remember this name. Nelson B. We were approached by this slick vendor (Nelson B) who took it upon himself to take our pictures. He is deceiving. He will tell you his store is approved by the government and your tour guide, as he tricks you into entering it. DO NOT FALL for it. He's pushy and his stuff is extremely over priced. You can get all this in the old city much cheaper. Don't forget the name Nelson B. The fraudster. All the pictures he took were overexposed...
