A very interesting and cultural town of Samana, Dominican Republic. Real Life was happening here in the streets!

Street Vendors selling a turquoise blue stone that was mined here in the Quarry. My husband bargained with a local man and bought me a set of jewelry with earrings, a pretty drop necklace and a bracelet. ..I believe the stone was called marquerite~

We visited a church that had been built in the late 1800's in England and dismantled and shipped to America but there was a bad storm and the ship was shipwrecked on this Island and the slaves were freed!! We spent some time in here and spoke with the current Pastors wife About the History of this church! The original pastor's wife died when she was only 26 years old so her grave is now over...

In my very own opinion this whole peninsular area needs to learn a great deal about customer service, God! Their service sucks huge thimes and everything in the malecon area is pricey and over rated..... I don't even mind the prices is the attitude and the bad service the tells me don't come back ever. Not to mention the horrible job they are doing when it comes to the whale watching, this predators have improvised a wharf to lure tourists there to over charge them and waste their time is...

This is a great place to visit for a free activity. There is a beautiful beach just before the bridge. There's a bar and restaurant on that beach. If you want to walk the bridge to the islands. Be aware there are 2 flights of stairs in each section. One of which is pretty steep with no railing. It is safe for adults and children. Someone with disabilities or issues walking would have a hard time. I saw so much sea life from the bridge. I saw an octopus, a stingray and many...

Amazing view, really nice landscape to take pictures. It has some seats to spend quiet time. You can do yoga here and I think is good for jogging. It's a beautiful place but it doesn't have entertaining activities or anything like that, it is just like a city park where you can se the ocean.
