It's in a very good location wise . It's pretty clean & cute... I personally didn't like the fact while showering the shower was clogged & was filling with water. Fiance removed so much hair from previous customers who stayed here. Yuk!
On Saturday early morning, my fiance went to get breakfast while I stayed asleep. Someone ( workers) nocked on the door. Who told them if no one answers go & get the keys & unlock my door & walk in without permission? Smh. They walko in and said ( they are asleep) smh ..by the way I was asleep with no top ( I'm a female by the way). No permission to walk in. I still had a one more stay there sooo. When they closed the door, I jumped up went to the bathroom and calledu fiance & he came right back. I was so violated . This is why I personally don't like leaving personal items in my room. wth... Saturday night power goes out twice and they said there generator was out being repaired..we was all in the dark for more than 30min twice..since when do hotels not have a back up generator?
Last ,y fiance went looking for front desk to get toilet paper way later that night ...he found front door to hotel locked from the inside...weird.... He nocked in the utility room, supply room because he heard noises.. the front desk person (man) was in the utility room with another guy ( friend) I guess. But they came out with shirts halfway unbuttoned & hella suspicious. To each their own but not on my watch. Management should really be careful with who you have as staff. Read moreThis hotel had a great location, only a minute walk from the small centre of samaná. The owner, Guillermo, was Spanish so he was great for asking about tourist tips since he had only moved there four years ago. He was super helpful giving us great suggestions for what to do there. ||The rooms were okay, it was what you could expect for a cheap price. There was no hot water or air condition, but they had a fan. I thought the beds were very comfortable. The city was quite loud, so expect some noise. ||The kitchen was kind of disgusting, so we decided to save our pasta for the next city and went out for dinner. It was this small room separate from the other building, and it smelled weird. ||The other people staying there were really friendly, and we ended up spending the days doing things with other people...
Read moreWas there for one night, paid 750 pesos after some haggling for a single room.||||Bed was clean, water was running, toiled was flushing, location was great. Other than that there are no reasons to stay in either this hotel or Samaná city other than for the whale watching.||||Great location comes with loud motorcycles on the street starting 5am. Staff was rude (she asked for 200 Pesos "tip" when I checked out) and folks were drinking upfront. The elderly guy was actually nice in the evening and offered me to put my motorcycle in the backyard. Only problem was that by the next morning they were reconstructing the entrance to the backyard and five guys had to help me carry the big machine through mud and open canalisation - Dominican...
