We were in Marina and booked a 2 hour tour there. From the stall we were accompanied to the ticket issue, where we could pay and got our boarding passes. Boarding helped people who were afraid to walk over the railing. There was always someone from the Crewe tangible and in close proximity. After about 15-20 minutes we went to the lower deck, which is well air conditioned. The reefs that were approached were partially dead-here you can see the environmental impact. Nevertheless, many fish, corals and mussels could be seen. The fish species were also explained. A crew member dived and entertained us at the windows. After about 30-40 minutes we could go snorkeling, for about 40-45 minutes. Since my child (5J) and my wife were out in the open water for the first time, special attention was paid to them. The short one got a life jacket and who wanted glasses and snorkel. In the water, my two loved ones were able to hold on to alifebuoy and the crew was permanentl with them. Back on the boat you could take a shower and change in the toilet. There were some drinks to refresh. Then the return journey began and we were back in port after about 20-25 minutes. The crew was extremely friendly, always making a few jokes and caring for the guests: Yes of course the photographer wants to take and sellhis pictures, but if you kindly and definitely inform him that you have no interest in the photos, then he does not ask for them a second time. This business model is part of such tours-so don' annoy, but wave it off decisively and politely. My guess is that we just had a class crew, asit went on the other boats I cannot judge. It is very much dependent on people. Therefore, we cannot report anything negative, on the contrary. Ican only advise everyone on this tour. We had boat number 7, maybe that'l help. It's just a shame that few...
Read moreThis was taken as a package from an independent tour company including transport from hotel and return. The boats operate from an inlet and typically scruffy small port area nearer old Sharm. There are about 5 or so boats of a couple of designs but basically they have the same lower deck below the water line with 2 rows of stools adjacent to each side in front of large glass windows . Guests are invited down 10 minutes or so after leaving berth and approaching the sides of the coral reef, which is quite dull with little colour. There are a variety of fish , more the further out you go, but dont think you ll be in a large aquarium with lots of colourful different species as indicated on the charts you will be invited to buy in the waiting area prior to boarding! (I wouldn't bother). Our boat was diesel and the change of directions and speed was the less than enthralling lsoundtrack to the viewing. After going out for around 35 mins you head back along same route and we had to drift about in the inlet for 10 to minutes to let other trip boats dock etc. Fortunately it was lovely weather and bar the enduring whiff off diesel fumes not too unpleasant. So was it worth £30 each??? Probably not, but if minded to do some sort of glass bottom trip the extra to do this...
Read moreThis was a lovely experience and great views, probably a bit long for little ones but was a very relaxed and enjoyable experience nonetheless. It's ideal for families worth young children. My autistic son loved it. Views were fabulous and clear. Sorry I haven't got any pictures from the top of the boat as I don't post anything with mine or family faces in. But you basically go down a set of stairs and have seats and large glass windows to view beneath the boat (about 4 metres below the surface of the water) There's a toilet on board too if anyone wanted to know the practicals! You can also buy drinks in a beach hut thing before you board, but they were overpriced, so I suggest packing your own frozen drinks. We bought this experience via TUI holiday rep, and were quoted similar while on the beach a couple of days before, and I've forgotten how much it was but we used the TUI app as under 5s should be free.
Hope this is...
