Old Art School — Attraction in Santa Ana

Had a great visit today. Ignore the "not open" "guarded" and "couldn't get in" reviews. Thank you to the reviewers who tell you how to get in. Super easy. Get permission to slip in the main square opposite the theater, just inside the library on the left. Took 2 minutes. Walked over, the guard let us in and we had a lovely walk round. It is just a ruin, but having glimpses of just how grand it would have been and the history behind it was very enjoyable. Cool thing to do in Santa Ana. We followed the instructions of the other reviews and had a great time. At the main square, enter the green building (I circled it red in the picture) and immediately turn left to the door that leads into the tourism office. Nice little place to visit for free. Don’t expect too much - you’ll be through in 10 minutes and it is a bit worn down (garbage and construction materials laying around). However, since it is free (tickets available at the main square only) and the walk there takes you through town, I think it’s a really nice little stop in Santa Ana! Late afternoon...
