I ordered over the phone fettuccine pomodoro, I specifically said that I am allergic to pork so to please remove the bacon. An hour and 15 minutes after I placed my order I receive my order, I take my first bite and to my surprise I bit bacon. Immediately, I went into anaphylactic shock, I couldn’t breath, I had hives everywhere, swollen beyond recognition. I spent several hours in the ER.
To make things worse once I called back to let them know they tell me, just remove the bacon it’s easy to do. I told him I ordered my plate without bacon because of an allergic reaction and the guy didn’t care. He tells me if I want my food redelivered it’s going to be at least an hour, hour and a half and that was putting me in priority, according to him. This is not the end of this, almost an hour later they drop off my food and not even 5 minutes later I get a call thinking it was to make sure that I received my food and to check if all was good. To my surprise they wanted the other food back. I was in the hospital I couldn’t give it back right there and then, I told the guy it’s gonna be a couple of hours before I come back he got upset and he told me to turn around immediately and come back to the hotel to give them back the food. Read moreI was told I was going to be overwhelmed with the food at Simmer Down, however I was not impressed with two of their meals served to my party of four. Before going into details with the food, our food took 35 minutes to arrive. The two tables next to us came after us and had their food before us. Now to the food critic. My mother ordered the surf and turf entree and she requested her steak well done. The steak was warm at the top and cold in the middle and very pink. The shrimp was OK and underc seasoned. With my meal I ordered the pasta with seafood. The calamari rings, the clams, and mini calamari were cold. I was going to bring to the cook's attention, however the waiter ignored us and I was not going to make a scene due to I was on a business lunch.
